OK, guys, I decided to make the Greedo subs myself (see here) and encode the final version. I ran into some encoding problems (as usual) but it seems to be working now, so I'm hoping to render the master file over night, watch it to make sure everything is fine, then encode the AVCHD (estimated time: two days) - and I could be releasing this sometime halfway through next week :-)

I love Spielberg for this although it would sure be nice if he tried harder to persuade George to stop this SE madness.

Really? I used to use torrents and found JDownloader to be much better. And now I can't use torrents anyway, because all P2P downloads are strictly forbidden by my provider under  a threat of permanent ban.

Well, it sure would be nice to get some higher quality transfers. Especially for Jedi. I think someone said that those featurettes were the same on the Japanese 97LD as the US and European VHS. It would be cool to get transfers of those. Though they'd probably have burned in Japanese subs, which would of course suck.

Again, a lot of the things you point out are undoubtedly problematic but there are only a few that I can fix. Putting the lasers in from the GOUT would be harder than just re-colouring them but I'm not going to do that either - it's not a big enough issue for me to spend hours fucking about with it.

But there are some things that I already fixed or can fix and missed, so I'll get right on it :-)

Well, I for one think this picture looks kind of cool. It's a bow to the real world samurai origin of the Jedi. And as to the robes, the Jedi are basically a religious cult - look at how monks dressed hundreds of years ago and how they dress now, practically no change there.

I never downloaded the V3 DVDs, I don't really want them, becuase DJ's project blu will be better and even if I did, I can't do torrents anyway.

That would be cool, thanks. It would be nice if it was some lower bit-rate, something like 224Kbps, I just want it there for completists' sake :-)

Is the white spot moving at all? If not, it should be fairly easy to remove in AE.
