If anything, when you remember there was something else you wanted to say in a thread some time later and no one's responded yet, if you go and edit your post, there's quite a big chance that people who already read your post before you edited it will miss the additional info.
Didn't you know, Lucas decided to use the word "return" in the title as it has one less letter than "revenge" because it saved him thousands of dollars when printing the title on millions of Ewok toy boxes. ;-)

And that's a bummer about the GOUT. I guess it could be another by-product of the DVNR :-/

Well, I noticed the reframing and as I set out to undo it, I noticed the other changes :-)
I found ( and undid ;-D ) more changes to this shot:
1) The temples were recomposited (they have separate gate weave visible even in the GOUT which is gone in the SE). - (EDIT: This was proved to be false)
2) A slight pan-down was added at the beginning of the shot.
3) The whole shot was re-framed to show more on the left side and less on the right.
4) For some reason, there's a thin stripe of static mask visible at the bottom of the frame in the SE.
Oh by the way, I didn't ask. Do you mind if I use some shots for my Despecialized Edition?

Wow, that's a huge number! But then the article is a little vague about what redone means. Because sometimes they may only be referring to replacing part that were damaged beyond repair from other legitimate sources (IP, IN).

If you mean to re-edit the LOTR EEs back into the theatrical versions, then that would actually be a great idea in case of FOTR, because the theatrical version has a badly DVNRed older master for Blu-Ray, so a colour corrected original version of FOTR using the EE Blu-Ray would be something I'd be very interested in actually ;-)

It was just a thought but the idea was to have a sort of DVD-Rom thing (you can't really do menus for AVCHD and expect it to be compatible) and the main feature would basically be the comparison galleries (like the ones at Picasa) and some of the slides would contain links to a more indepth look at the shot - either a video like this or just a side by side video comparison or maybe some pictures - like the mattes or scans used etc.
@005: Yeah, but it's the same in the 2004 version and I bet in the 97SE too, only there it's not visible because of the cropping.
