You could actually sync the foreign languages up to ANH:R and just release them as a AC3. It is easy to replace just the main audio track with a different language and keep the whole structure of the DVD, with all the menus and extras intact. That way there won't be loads of different versions out there. But you need to remember that i added a lot of extra things into ANH:R and the new sound effects need to be in there or it will look very strange especially during the battle of Yavin. You'll see all these extra ships and lasers etc but there would be no sound.
Yes, I alreasy did it, thanks to the programs you uploaded on rapidshare. I used the ADigitalMan's tutorial, and made the 5.1 audio track to 6 mono track. The 98% of the voice is in the center, so I replaced it to the stereo track. Sadly there is just VHSRip audio aviable. So all the sound effect remained, but when the voice echoing, that remained. As shows the example video. Anyway, this is the best aviable video and audio quality aviable from the movie.
