Ah, I feel bad. I think everyone who felt a little worried then are ready to move on.

I just rewatched TFA for the first time since I saw it in theaters, the gentle restructure fan edit, and it’s not quite as good as I remember, but still immensely enjoyable and quite possibly still better than ROTJ for me.

Things I noticed this go-around:

1. The humour was not my style and took me out a lot.
2. The title theme sounded more like a parody than the theme proper.
3. Rey being able to pilot the Falcon better than Han, and the unexplained change in the treatment of droids was odd and a little annoying.
4. The Rathtar scene is atrocious and serves little to no purpose.

Not all of it was bad. I noticed John Williams’ score a lot more, and was able to appreciate it more. Everything with Kylo Ren was great. I enjoyed everything else about the same.

My ranking:

1. Star Wars
2. Empire
3. TFA
4. ROTJ
5. R1
6. Everything else.

Dan Dailey looks a lot like Donald Sutherland.

Strangely, I have no desire to watch either R1 or ROTS. I’ve only seen R1 once in theaters, and felt what many of you seem to think of it now. ROTS is just awful, I hate what it did to the original characters. So, I guess of the two I’d rather watch R1, since I’d rather suffer bored indifference than utter hate.

With the thought that the Murdoch’s may gain some control over Disney, and the thought that Disney has enough power to basically control copyright law, I don’t think it’s something that should be taken lightly. I refuse to believe any corporation has us in their best interest, entertainment or no. Anyway, I’ll drop it.
