Night Ramalamadingdong's self-indulgent plotting and pacing which I feel he uses to cover up 'stories' which all revolve around one small idea, usually revealing in his 'surprise' endings. Maybe its just me- maybe the world needs more films with 15 minute shots of people walking down the stairs.

As for 'Hulk' I only recently saw it but would only rate it about 2 1/2 skulls out of 5. Well shot visually for the most part but I feel it suffers from too many chefs- Lee who may or may not have known the characters wanted to do one type of film. This kind of story works just fine in comics where you can have all sorts of specials and 'What If?'s or various single issues. The studio on the other hand wanted another 'Spider-Man', etc and there are *so* many scenes in the films which just scream to me 'studio interference' and I'm sure it was a constant battle... and when it comes down to it the studio pays the bills so they're allowed to do that. Many films mess around with the source material and I'm cool with that as long as it benefits and/or improves the story (ie Raimi decides not to make Peter Parker a scientific genius so the audience can relate to him a bit more, and therefore a non-genius would have had a hard time inventing webshooters- so they become organic to the spider bite).

I think I've reached a point with the new Superman film that I just don't care. None of the supposed plot elements sound all that interesting to me and none of the pictures released scream 'Superman' to me. I hope Routh is a great actor but to me he appears to have the same slack-jawed expression in every image. 'Duh I'm, uh, Superman right? Oh yeah- I'm wearing this suit.'

I'll probably not make any big effort to see this film. I wish that Singer would have just tried to make it his own instead of trying to make it a 'sequel' to Superman II.

1) I too have some difficulty M. Night Syama-insert-rest-of-name-here films. So far though the one film of his that I really hate is The Village - he didn't even wait till the end to reveal his big surprise. Funny how people went from calling M. Night the new Spielberg to calling Peter Jackson the new Spielberg...

2) Brandon Routh looks like he escaped from the set of a Power Rangers spin off. He doesn't look old enough to be "returning" from this six year absence that the filmmakers are boasting about.

3) I completely agree with you - Singer should have tried making his own Superman film instead of some kind of semi-sequel to the first two Superman films. Cutting loose from the earlier films was one of Batman Begins greatest strengths, that it wasn't just a rehash of stuff done by Burton and Schumacher, and it would benefit Superman even more, considering how badly the franchise went down in the first place.

Something I have to ask - is the Flash movie any good? Which Flash is in it?

Barry Allen, played by John Wesley Shipp.

Yeah, so is it good?!

I watched Ang Lee's Hulk today, and in all honesty, I thought the criticism of this movie was completely unwarranted (too much sulking, not enough hulking - there was plenty of hulking!). I reckon Ang Lee 'gets' what comics and superheroes are all about. The movie gets *at least* three and a half stars outta me. Better than the Spiderman movies, definitely, IMHO.

To answer your question, yes, from what I saw of it the Flash series was pretty decent except for the occasionally lame punching bag sound effect.

It strikes me as funny that fans would say Ang Lee failed to make the Hulk a good/great film because he has no sense of visual style as he is too much into the human story. I always thought that was exactly the kind of person you'd want directing a superhero film - someone who can actually get at the human story beneath it all.

Well, his career should be doing well for a while after all the praise he got for Brokeback Mountain.

I hear that Joss Whedon wants Monica Baccarin to play Wonder Woman.

Not that there's anything wrong with Jennifer Connelly as Wonder Woman. I always figured Wonder Woman would like she was over 30.

Can you imagine Miss Connelly as Lois Lane?

Anyone got pictures of the gorgeous lady from Willow.......who I think married Val Kilmer. I actually, by saying that, I think I remember seeing some here, but I don't wanna look again.

Didn't she bare her ta-tas in Pink Floyd: The Wall? I think she was one of the groupies during "Young Lust" if I'm not mistaken.

She also bore all in "Scandal" where she played Christine Keeler.

She was a redhead in Willow.

Oh yeah... but she's a brunette in real life. Can't say I blame Val Kilmer for marrying her... too bad that when their marriage fell apart she filed for divorce without even telling him, waited until he'd gone to work on some film and then he heard about it watching CNN.

Oops, shouldn't have said that.

I'm not so sure. I heard my mom talking about it behind closed doors at my counselor.

That sounded funny, Sean, sorry.
After reading here I was afraid I might have it, but I don't fit enough of the criteria. It could be fun to tell people, "I have Aspergers Syndrome". They'd go, "No!...What is that?" maybe.

I've come to the conclusion that it's not necessary to tell people about it. Odds are they won't know or care about it, and if you go to the trouble of explaining, they'll think you're some sort of freak. So I only tell people if asked.

I really hate when people don't understand stuff and think you are a freak.

I think we all hate that.

PALPATINE: "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of it's forms - greed for life, for money, knowledge - has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed - you mark my words - will not only save Teldar Paper but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you."

My life isn't horrible per se, but I can never seem to focus when I need to the most, which is especially bad because I have some aspirations to be a professional writer (mostly sword and sorcery stuff). I tried some prescription drugs that were supposed to help me with my focus problems but they didn't help much. And ately I've developed an interest in acting. I feel kinda torn apart lately. I hate that feeling.

F. Criteria are not met for another specific Pervasive Developmental Disorder or Schizophrenia

I hate to admit it, but that sums me up pretty well. I've had deeper, more meaningful relationships with people over the internet - mostly through e-mail - than with people I've seen on a regular basis either at work or at Villa Julie (my college - VJC for short). How sad is that?
