The worst movies ever!

I didn't like the Matrix sequels too much, but I did buy the DVDs (which is more than I can say for the SW DVDs ) - mainly for the effects, though

I rent Reloaded every now and then (usually once every summer) just to watch Keanu Reeves fight the army of Hugo Weavings, then watch Reeves tear up all those buildilngs as he rushes to catch the lovely Carrie-Anne Moss and then, I admit, listen to some (but not all of the music) that plays during the closing credits.

Yes that must be VERY hard to live with, my girlfrind is a special education teacher and has done alot of work with different austism projects when she was in college.

It is EXTREMELY hard to live with, both for him and for us. There are some days where I can't even stand being in the same room with him. Maybe if I could just get away from him for a few years the hatred would lessen, even though it's already convinced me that I should never have children. You'd think it would make me more tolerant and/or patient but it hasn't; if anything it's only made me selfish and callous and easily irritable.

That's neat that your girlfriend's worked on all those autism projects. She has far more patience and compassion than I do.

EW's 25 Worst Sequels Ever Made

I agree on MIIB. I would've liked to see them bring back Linda Fiorentino, and if they were going to bring Jones back into the mix, hold off until it was absolutley necessary. A prime example of lazy storytelling.

This leads me to my next question: where was Ghostbusters II on this list?

Maybe it was smart of Linda Fiorentino not to come back for MIB 2... though I hear she's kind of a bitch to work with (just ask Kevin "Dogma" Smith).

As for Ghostbusters 2, well, who knows, I guess some sequels just weren't bad enough.

That much closer to bumping AWK off the list. May sugarplums dance in your head for that.

"Does Men In Black 2/II deserve to be on the worst sequels list?"

Yes. They didn't even try. That movie was a tired rehash of the best jokes of the original, and it succeeded in not making them funny the second time around.

Just making sure I'm not crazy. I have to admit watching MIB 2 was like tuning into your favorite sitcom after it jumps the shark - the timing of the jokes and gags was way off, many of said gags were grossly overplayed (the scene where Smith and Jones invade a family's home to get their guns ends with Smith yammering way too much about what they should allow their little girl to do late at night comes to mind here, as does Smith trying to roll himself down a pile of foam), Patrick Warburton was underused, Frank the Pug was overused and the thing with Rosario Dawson went no where.

Please note - these are NOT my favorites
For historical references only. Not my scans - excuse the poor quality.

All taken from Polish www.starwarsy.pl website - its webmaster is a really crazy collector, with "bootleg" figures (made in countries being "behind the Iron Courtain" back then, when US merchandise was scarce), cut-outs from old magazines and newspapers... too bad you can't read his comments, these are hilarious.

Any outright recommendations to someone who has yet to enjoy the wonder that is Neil Gaiman?

If you're not a comics fan, I'd suggest the novel American Gods, which is fantastic. If you are a comics fan, I'd suggest the Sandman Trade Paperbacks, starting with vol 1: Preludes and Nocturnes (although the series hits it's stried on the 3rd one). If you're on the fence about comics I'd suggest you try to pick up the 6th volume called Fables and Reflections, which is a great collection but particularly the last story called "Ramadan", which I think is one of the best stories I've ever read, in print or comics (and it's beautifully illustrated).

I like comic books, but I've been out of the loop for a while. I'll have to remember to order these from Amazon.
