Laserschwert, how about a German version of 2.7? 😃
By asking for the Lossless Version, i think he’s definitely considering it 😉
Anybody read this?

Statistical, but interesting facts about ROTS. A lot of text, but very insightful especially in the second half.
Quote:
"I’m shocked by it, but when I finished watching [ROTS] it I kind of longed to just go back and watch Episode I. That’s right. The Phantom Menace. I think The Phantom Menace - with all its many problems - is a better movie than Revenge of the Sith. I can’t help but shake my head when I try to say that sentence out loud, but I think I have to stick with it.
Even the ridiculous love story of Attack of the Clones seems palatable compared to Revenge of the Sith. At least it’s a story."
Critics quote “I don’t like sand” so often because it is simply the tip of the iceberg of the entire wooden Anakin dialogue.
As you said, there are so many sequences in this movie but most of the stuff is dramaturgic non-effective because Lucas’ script (along with Jonathan Hales little input) is not well written.
The movies of the Original Trilogy are fun space adventures with likeable characters. The movies of the Prequel Trilogy are melodramatic costume dramas with flat underdeveloped characters.
It’s not the amount of the special effects that drags AOTC down - it’s Lucas’ script & directing.
@Charles Daniels
Color-timing and contrast of the image could be a slightly distracting thing - it depends on the viewer. As far as i assume, you are used to the home video releases of the OT, which feature a brightened up image (Experienced Users: please correct if i’m wrong). So you may notice (for example in Star Wars 2.5) some shots with slighty different colors and a darker image you are not used to, due to your viewing experience.
And let’s not forget the Obi-Wan dialogue in front of the Sand Crawler:
“These Tracks are side-by-side. Sand people always ride single file to hide their numbers.”
The last sentence was slighty changed in the German dub with a real-world adjective:
“Die Spuren hier sind alle nebeneinander. Sandleute bewegen sich im Gänsemarsch um ihre Stärke zu verbergen.”
It’s somewhat arkward to translate that into english. Gänsemarsch = geese in single file
Phänomenal, vielen vielen Dank Laserschwert!
Die offiziellen DVDs/Blu-rays können jetzt endlich in den Ruhestand versetzt werden 😉
@Laserschwert
Do you consider a 2.6 Version of [Krieg der Sterne - Despecialized Edition] containing the Color-Timing Adjustments that user towne32 is applying currently to Harmy’s Star Wars 2.5?
This looks awesome! Great work towne32!
As much as i admire Harmy’s work, your Color-Timing looks so much closer to the Star Wars i grew up with.
Over-saturated colors in the GOUT? Are you confusing the GOUT with the 2004 DVDs? Because the colors of the GOUT are rather badly faded than over-saturated.
Are George and Marcia still married in this timeline?
Maybe Lucas manages to smuggle in some “changes” into the Blu-ray Version … digitally replacing the charred helmet of Darth Vader with a wooden picture frame containing an image of Anakin Skywalker as a nine year old boy.
“I should have known the Jedi are plotting to take over!”
The first time i heard this i thought: What the hell are talking about you dumb idiot?! You started this mess to save your boring wife!
Years later i read on [http://fd.noneinc.com/secrethistoryofstarwarscom/secrethistoryofstarwars.com/theturn.html] that this quote was a left over from a previous seduced-to-the-dark-side-story-arc and Lucas (for whatever reason) kept it in the movie.
This is amazing! Thank you Laserschwert!
2 down, 1 to go 😉

Darth Vader ... ready to battle a hideous rebel wind machine:
The upcoming "new" Blu ray Complete Saga Set features Darth Vader with activated lightsaber virtually walking towards the viewer.
IMO those over-dramatized Darth Vader posings do not fit his OT character at all. All these promo images are somehow based on Vaders ESB body language when reached out to Luke in Bespin. With the Prequels, especially when ROTS came out, i noticed all those cereal boxes, puzzels, action figures, etc. with Vader doing these *hand-in-the-air-cloak-in-the-wind-floating* posings. Vader would never do such stupid stuff. Imagine in the original Star Wars Vader stands in such a dumb drama pose when he waits for Obi-Wan in the Death Star corridor.

If they do this and allow for theatrical prints for art houses and festivals etc I propose this site and it's forums become the DecrapifyThePrequels.com so we have a new cause rally behind and continue to moan about :-D
How about prequeltrilogy.com?
The purpose will be to discuss Padme's x-men like ability changing costumes form scene to scene. She could be a shapesifter ... and that means ... ... oh man, that circumstance changes the whole Prequel Trilogy!
...
...
...
Maybe not.
Did Anthony Daniels realize the Prequels suck?
I heard / read somewhere that the Obi-Wan dialogue with Yoda ("I gave Qui-Gon my word.") was shot on digital.
So i guess the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars in 2017 is our new/next hope?
