In AotC, they made a callback to this by having Jango Fett bang his head on the door of Slave I. And so now the comedy is that Jango’s clumsy DNA got into the Stormtrooper vats! Har har har!
Yes, Lucas mentions that in the AOTC audio commentary at the very specific scene. Another one of these many things he thought that would be considered … funny.

Interestingly the “Close the Blast Doors” phrase was there from the beginning in the German Dub. At least my 1990 VHS TV Rip contains it (“Schließt die Panzertüren!”).

Yes, it’s not easy to retrace why this specific phrase was included in the German dub, but on the other hand was completely absent from the english audio track. But it’s not the only audio anomaly in the German dub. As Adywan pointed out in this thread

Besides it’s not only a trilogy about Anakin, but also about Palpatine, a fun character who’s evil just because he wants to be evil. And about Obi-Wan, the SW Sherlock Holmes with a reckless behavior loaded with punchlines.
