Green and blue do not make yellow either…
We are going for symbolism here more than anything else.

There is a blue and green color in the theatrical version when she ignites her blade. Changing it to blue and purple assumes she used Luke and Leia’s crystals from their now broken lightsabers to create her own.

The main reason I think it should be blue and purple in the context of this edit.

The only thing Rey knows of the green is it trying to murder Kylo. Hero Luke accept the blue saber, not the green.

Please include this! It makes Rey burying them at the end make so much more sense. They served their purpose and now she has her own path. If we really want to try something cool… when Rey ignites her saber there is a green and blue color during the ignition. Can the green be recolored to purple? Implying both sabers broke and Rey used the Kyber Crystals to make her own lightsaber with them would help sell Rey Skywalker more, at least for me.

Glad everyone is working so hard on this. Cannot wait for the finished copy. Any progress on the Skywalker Puppet Pals scene?

I don’t want to sound nitpicky. The work out this project has been outstanding.

I still think a little of the coloring looks off. It’s really dark at the beginning, then the sky has a green hue in the right corner behind Rey, then goes back to being dark. The shot of the burning TIE has it almost looking pitch black around it but Rey and the Porgs are lit up. I love the idea and the hard work but I don’t think it 100% there just yet.

It would be nice to have Luke say that as Rey looks at the X-Wing. Could work as a little foreshadowing.

Any changes that make the trilogy feel more connected should be encouraged.

I’m not sure why the birth of her son would stop Leia from being a Jedi. Did she need to be a stay at home senator? I think it may cause more confusion. She needed to have a push to not continue. The death of your child would do that, and it ironically comes true.

But the good part is that in death Ben is brought back home, which is why Leia’s body waited for him. So, the death of her son at the end of her journey has a different meaning. Sounds like a misread prophecy 😉

Hey guys, I’m not a mod but let’s have grumpy discussion elsewhere. I swear this thread is turning into the General Discussion page.

Do we have a remaining things list for V2? Any proposed changes that have yet to be owned by someone that we would like to try and have done by V2?

Not that it is my decision but I think we should try solidifying a list of remaining things for this edit and any other discussion could go to the Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Redux Ideas thread.

I think reusing the Falcon scene would be great, minus the dice. If Kylo’s new helmet could be added it would be a great way to connect back and show how he is still conflicted, and will only help flesh out Han’s scene later on.

I did have a pm with him where he said he was working on something. An aged Bryan Cranston has a striking resemblance to Shaw, I think that was something he was exploring.

Luke hitting a Grand Slam and taking out an AT-AT sounds hilarious and it is exactly the type of exaggeration that Luke was talking about in TLJ with “The Legend of Luke Skywalker”

The galaxy in TFA thinks Luke is a myth because of his god-like status.
