Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers
Time

So, I have been looking and looking for somewhere to get individual covers for my Complete Saga set (The 6 movies plus the 7th for the bonus discs), and have had no luck. I’ve seen awesome work, and PMed the creators and have got nothing in response. So, forgive me if this is not the right place to ask, but can someone please help me find some covers?

Just to let people know. We are still working on this. No major updates, just going through the reels as usual.

We did get a new LED for the Dolby unit, which had issues before, and has been replaced. So we can do sound decoding properly. We'll try to post some samples for you.

Team Negative1

 thanks. Good to hear :)

Info Wanted: Definitive Collection 4-Disc Set? Is it available?
Time

Please forgive me, I’m still new here…but I’ve been looking around, and can’t find my answer, so the only thing I can think of is to post here…

I keep finding covers online for some 4 Disc set of The Definitive Collection, including a Supplemental Material disc…I am wondering what this set is, and if it might still be available somewhere?

I understand that this is a 1080p project, but since you've gone through the tremendous effort you have, are you going to be able to have a full resolution version stored anywhere for posterity, until the technology to view and present 4K is available to the masses?

we're not working in 4k..

anyways, the more we think about the issue of distribution

of raw files. the further it slips away through our fingers...

we are looking into the possibility of some archive service,

but even that will be a longshot...

the more i think about it, there will most likely only be our

own personal archives, and possibly one given out to a single

person via mail/drives, and then that person could pass it onto

another.. and form a chain that way... that's how it used to

work in the past... might have to bring that model out of

retirement.. as more time passes, the less likely anything

will happen.. but you never know?

later

I get you...I will definitely keep an eye on this...

I am so excited for this project, and I thank you so much negative1 for the work you've done. Please forgive me if this was asked and answered already, but I was trying to weed through the original thread, and couldn't find it...

Info Wanted: Question about availability of the OOT preservations?

Well, even if your ISP provided usenet access, it'd probably be limited to text groups only. So first of all, you need to get an account at one of the premium providers which offer access to binary groups such as alt.binaries.starwars, too.

Myriad of them exist, but they all are not free of charge (test accounts do exist, but are very limited). Here's a good point to start: http://usenetcompare.com. Accounts that are unlimited in download volume sell for about 10$ a month.

Now there are two features the providers differ. The first one is the so called retention, which is the maximum time a file is accessible after it's been uploaded and usually is between 2 and 4 years. The second one is speed of course. The given speed is almost always met except when the age of the upload is close to the retention. The content however is the same among all providers.

Once you have an account, go to nzbindex.nl, which is like a usenet search engine. Click on "Groups" on the very top and select alt.binaries.starwars to view this groups content. If you find an upload you want to get, just click on "Download" and a .nzb file will be created.

To finally download it you need a usenet client. I recommend the free version of alt.binz. Enter your account details there, open the .nzb file and start the download.

If you got any further questions just feel free to ask :-)

Oh, and I'd say you get Star Wars - Harmy's Despecialized Edition Remastered, which is just beyond impressive.

Ok, I know this is gonna sound crazy, but I need to know...

So, I buy some time from Newsdemon, and i see that they have a program to download with, NewsRover. I try to start a download, and at that moment, the internet in my house died. Is this a huge coincidence, or did i do something horribly wrong?

I know I'm probably being paranoid, but I need to be sure it won't happen again.

Star Wars Uncut cover - first cover EVER
Time

Hey everyone...so, I was bored tonight, and was watching Star Wars Uncut. I want to burn this to a DVD, so I was looking around to see if anyone had made a DVD cover for it, but I wasn't able to find one, so I decided to try and make one, and here's what I came up with. Please keep in mind it's my first attempt at making a cover.

Here's the link, if interested...

I just downloaded the new version of Star Wars, and it looks amazing...I really wanna burn a blu ray of this...but I dont know how to work with MKV files. Do I have to convert the MKV, and if I do, #1 how do i do it properly and #2 will I lose any of the audio options?

Forgive my noobness...

To be honest, because I haven't been able to get it to work.

That's fine. I can help. Does your ISP provide Usenet access? What have you tried?

As far as I know, they don't. (I have Comcast/xfinity). I was told on another forum to use SABnzbd but I had no clue what I was doing. I have much more experience with torrents.

I'm looking to find out which of the OT restorations are still available...if they can be found on a torrent site, that would be the best, but I'll do what it takes to find a good copy of the real Star Wars trilogy, Special Edition-free...I have a feeling I'm not the only one who's wanted to ask this...

So, can anyone help this newbie out?

Hi, Gorramnerd, and welcome to the forum. Many of the releases are available on MySpleen (a private BitTorrent tracker) and on Usenet (at alt.binaries.starwars).

I suggest searching for a.b.starwars on NZB.cc to see what's available on Usenet. If your ISP doesn't offer Usenet access, a premium 3-day account (with SSL encryption) can be obtained from, e.g., UsenetServer.com for $5. (I can download at a consistent ~5.1 MB/s (yes, Megabyte) with UsenetServer.com, but I'm sure their competitors offer similar speeds, so feel free to shop around.)

If you can't find what you need there, I may be able to give you one of my MySpleen invitations, but please try to exhaust Usenet (and other options) first.

I'm not a big fan of Usenet. If it's possible, I would be very grateful for a MySpleen invitation.
