STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Jesus Adywan, I didn't realize you were doing all this set and costume stuff. Are you sure about this? Maybe instead of making a cave you can just shoot behind blue screen? Hell, just use the existing footage of whatever the hell you are making exactly, wampa right? Or is this the "Tahn Tahn", or whatever the hell you call it.

Why we hate the prequels at OT forum.
Time

First of all, in my opinion, people are too hard on the prequels. Yes, the script could have been better. The story seemed inept, convoluted, rushed, and they could have done better. But I think what George Lucas made is not complete garbage. Making a back story in the league of the original star wars trilogy is not an easy feat.

Take the Yoda fight for example. Most fans hated that, but how would you get around it? I mean really, from what we learn of the jedi knights from the first trilogy, how plausible could it really be?

So apparently jedi can do almost anything they want with the force. Since that is true how do you make that plausible without being ridiculous? Yoda's got to fight with a light saber, there's no way around it. How can he be all knowledgeable and powerful with the force and not be able to fight somebody with a light saber? You can't just have human beings fight and the rest of the creatures that are inadequately fit not fight, just because they look inadequate to fight with a light saber. Because Yoda says, size matters not. That can also be interpreted as body type, matters not. But I won't get into any more of that because redlettermedia so eloquently explained that in their review of Attack of the Clones.

People complained about the CGI. CGI was still in its infacy at the time and frankly, I found TPM to have the best CGI which is odd because you'd think it would look better as they went along.

Another thing, people complained about the plots going too much into politics. While I would agree, you do have to admit that a lot had to be setup in the way the galaxy's government operates in order to keep the story flowing. I find it odd how similar they made their government sound from ours. Courts, Senate, Chancellor, Viceroy, I know the original trilogy borrowed a lot of words we use in our governments, but it didn't come off as sounding so derived like in the prequels.

I felt like George was torn between making a film for children or a serious movie for grown-ups all through the making of the prequels. Jar Jar Binks, probably the most unanimously hated character ever to grace the screens of cinema. It's been a long time since I've seen TPM, but my memory is that he was a very creative character and kind of fills the shoes of Chewbacca or C3PO from the original trilogy. You have to admit that he was very memorable. Hell, he's probably up there with the most memorable cinema characters not only in Star Wars, but movies in general. I found him to work well as comic relief and he did play an integral role in the story of TPM. Something you can't really say about a lot of the other supporting characters in the PT like "Count Dooku" and "General Grevious." They're basically just there because, they want an old guy and a robotic guy in there.

Even though the prequels did come up flat, I do think that George did develop a good foundation to work with in TPM. I thought Liam Neison's character was really good in it and it was cool seeing everything established in the first movie. I don't think having Anakin as a young child was a bad idea. I don't even think Jake Lloyd's acting was that bad. Maybe I should go back and review it but I didn't see a problem with it last time I watched the movie.

After typing this, I'm not sure if I am defending or criticizing the prequels, the more I think about them the less I like them. That's about all I have to say. Redlettermedia did a great job critiquing the movies and I look forward to his episode 3 review.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Well shit, idk that materials were in such demand. I guess I'll have my donation go towards supplies then. I am just a hardware junkie and I wanted Adywan to have the best processor consumers can buy. As for the CPU he currently has, I figured he could sell it and maybe just lose a few quid over it.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I emailed Adywan a few weeks ago asking him what kind of hardware he got for his new computer and he told me this:

Hitachi DESKSTAR 2TB 3.5" SATA II 7200RPM 32MB Cache OEM

Akasa AK-968 CPU cooler LGA775 1156 1366

Gigabyte motherboard X58A-UD3R

Intel Core i7 930 CPU 2.8 GHz 8MB LGA1366 45nm

4x Kingston memory 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL8 (8-8-8-24)

Asus GeForce GTX470 Graphics Engine - PCI Express 2.0 1280MB GDDR5

He gave me the prices too, but I won’t post those, but I will tell you that things do cost about 10-20% more in the UK comparably to the US when converting GBP to USD currency.

I thought he had the top-of-the-line processor, but then I went to intel’s website and learned this:
http://ark.intel.com/ProductCollection.aspx?familyID=28037

The i7-970 core is the top-of-the-line core for the i7 processor series and is quite a bit more expensive than the other ones and has 6 cores instead of 4. But then I noticed he could have bought the Intel® Core™ i7-950 Processor (8M Cache, 3.06 GHz, 4.80 GT/s Intel® QPI) for the same price as the i7-930 model according to intel's main comparison website posted above. I don’t know if the website he bought his computer hardware priced the i7 950 core significantly more expensive than the i7 930, Adywan?

I live on a tight budget and am unable to donate to Adywan as much as some people here, but I am saving what money I can and planning on sending it to Adywan sometime in late November to early December so he has enough time to buy the i7 970 CPU without having to pay the increase in sales tax (or Value Added Tax as he calls it) coming in January. I would also like him to max out the RAM capacity of his motherboard. He currently has 16 gigs, and his motherboard specs say it can support up to 24 gigs. I asked him if 16 gigs is enough and he said, “when using FX software these are very RAM intensive so having more RAM the better.” But I don’t think I can do it alone, unless I move back in with my parents. So I am asking for your guy's help.

Adywan hasn’t returned my emails in the last few weeks, but I’m sure he is busy dealing with his Dad now. He told me that he gets hundreds of emails every couple of days and one day he had over 1000 to sort through, so don’t expect him to return your emails promptly.

Bookmark Logos
Time
You know how some bookmarks have logos before them and some are just blank document symbols? I don't know if this is true for all browsers, but I use Firefox always updated to the latest version, and a lot of websites have logos next to their names in the bookmarks and I noticed originaltrilogy.com doesn't have a logo for their bookmark. I like the pixelated Death Star 2 Logo on the top of the page. Would that be possible for a bookmark logo?

James's reference/mocking of the SEs in his latest AVGN episode.
Time

He made a hilarious reference/mocking to the changes of the Star Wars Trilogy in his latest video:

He mentions how he wishes to go back to his earliest episodes and add a dance scene, add special effects, clean up the negatives, and then the funniest part was him saying he wants to go back and have Jason Voorhees shoot first because shooting him first made him look like "a cold blooded killer."

Then he shows a really cheesy edit of is head moving to the left while the laser bolt passes his head.
