***The "Darth Editous" Episode V DVD Info and Feedback Thread*** - a work in progress

A few things that always irked me that I thought maybe you could look at were;

When Luke is on Dagobah when he is being trained and doing a hand stand for the first time, his X-wing can be seen exactly how it looked when it first crashed laned about ¾ above water, then in basically the next shot its just about completely underwater

Then when the heroes are leaving bespin in the millenium falcon when they first notice the super star destroyer the ship takes a hard right and the stars seemingly get brighter

Finally, directly after that shot the Falcon seems to be drifting aimlessly in space (in relation to the stars) as they attempt to make the jump for hyperspace

Thats kind of disheartening, why would you not be able to finish the project?

my version of the Emperor scene will be a shot-for-shot replica of the original (the SE DVD changes a lot of the shots around), and will include a side view of Ian McDiarmid saying "He could destroy us" which is not present in the 2006 DVD (how I do that I'll leave you to guess).

So its going to be the original Emperor pictured on the screen with McDiarmid's lines? If thats the case that still isnt a great improvement on the scene, the scene was never that bad to begin with. The hologram in the original left a lot to the imagination which was a good way of doing it and the original lines were never a problem. You could never recreate a good scene with an actor speaking lines in a part 26 (actually more) years after the scene was compeleted.

I know its your project and you can do it to your liking, I just always felt that scene was fine the way it was. It never bothered me for an instant that neither the actor nor the voice was McDiarmid.

Shouldn't Clive Revill be left in the credits somehow?

He's not in the movie any more... besides, I pasted Ian McDiarmid's name over his. I'd have to jiggle the whole credits around to add another name.

So I take it your leaving in that horrid addition inculding the awful lines read by McDiarmid?

You do great work and the screen caps look fantastic but sorry that new scene ruins a nearly perfect film for me, that Fett's new lines and pink lightsabers
