Could it be that Ady already had this in mind when he put the battle droid on the Sandcrawler in ANH:R? Just a thought :)
That may be very true, how else would a battle droid get on Tatooine? But the only thing that wouldn't make sense is that Dooku would want to go somewhere isolated.
I would say that Ady will make a beautiful background like he did in ANH R.

The problem is that he had definite speech patterns in ESB and ROTJ. In the PT, they ignored this and just gave him some randomly backwards words. When Adywan gets around to making PT:R I'll be interested to see if he does anything with this.
Beleive me, nothing gets by this guy. I was amazed at how precise he was with his ANH edit. (Adding blinking lights to Vader's chestplate and changing other unnoticable continuity errors.)
I guess I have never scene that deleted scene. I am on SW message boards (I don't really go there anymore), and I heard that the scene wasn't fully done yet. Oh well, at least I now it exists now
And yeah Bingowings, a scary voice re-dub of the announcer would be cool.

WOW! Thanks, I had no idea that scene was even completed. I dont think the placement was done right. It broke the rhythm of the ending. If it could go somewhere else I would be all for the scene being re-inserted.

And, what is this scene about Jocasta Nu and Obi-wan talking about Dooku I'm reading about up there? ^ Cause it looks REALLY interesting. Is there any footage of that scene floating around anywhere?

Btw, I'm pretty sure the 'Yoda lands on Dagobah' scene was included in the bonus disc of Episode III as a deleted scene, wasn't it?
I dought it. We would have seen it somewhere. I don't think GL put it there because the CG wasn't done.
Yes Jar Jar need to be very toned down. What do you think of this voice re-dub?
It would be cool to see some trees fall and see leaves shaking when Yoda is lifting the ship with the force. The same thing happend in AOTC when Dooku and Yoda were having their force battle. Debris was falling from the ceiling. It would be cool to see the branches shake and some trees fall. It would really add to the scene.

Yeah, it would be very difficult to do. About the Pod race, your right. It would be edited down. The aggresion would be very good foreshadowing and would really give that little guy some character.
The anouncer really needs to go. It feels like a little kiddie film. At least give the announcer a re-dub and a better CG character.
Could it be possible to change all the annoying gungans to wookies? Then make Jar-Jar into Chewbacca. It sounds like a stretch, but who knows? Some people want the gungans right out of the film. I would personally give them a normal voice and take out all the stupid Jar-Jar scenes.

That would be nice, but it wasn't yet released by Lucasfilm. Also, it isn't done yet. The CG isn't completed.

That, IMO, is just adding unneeded time to the film. The podrace doesn't need to be any longer.

Those are definate, or at least it build the horrible love relationship between Padme and Anakin.
I would also add the Jedi Raid on the Droid Control Ship to AOTC. That isn't done yet eithier. It sounds like it would be very expensive to complete the scene. So only GL can add it if he wants
Where can I see some of this edit? It sounds interesting. Are you doing any CG/Fx work to, or just editing and re-dubs?
I like that one better. Nice. The sky in the background really looks good. The canyons give more life to the boring mood of the original to.

That looks awesome, great detail. It actually feels like they are on Dagobah, not on set. Great work.
3D Star Wars will only look good if it's the OT. The PT's CG is not anywhere close yet to make you feel in the movies ( at least TPM and AOTC)
I think the light idea would work. The important thing would be to make the background look real. Make it so you can see 500 yards or so back. Mabey take out a couple trees and have more deception to the shot. Taking out a couple trees would let more light in to.
I was talking about the original shot, not your. One side of the original is obviously a painting, then the other side is totally off color from the other and actual real footage.
Mabey that ship could be Luke flying in from Dagobah. I think a scene like that should be added. Keep these coming because you are right, this sequence has a boring mood. Also, the two sides of the background don't match.
It really feels more like Star Wars. But, it doesn't feel like tatooine though. This scene definatly needs more to it. It is very plain in the '04 DVD.
I love them. Something along those lines would be good. The bottom one looks really good. I think Jabba's palace should look nice on the outside. Look more intimidating.

I like it. Especially is that was in a hi-def format. This is definatly a shot that Ady needs to take advantage of and make it nice.
