The Imperial March is “overused” in the same way that the Force theme and the opening title crawl theme is.

It’s Imperial March not Darth Vader’s theme song. The Imperial March is in Episode 2,3, Rogue one and even Solo: A Star Wars story. In episode 6 it’s used when the Emperor arrives at the Death Star. Playing the Imperial March for the Revisited’s grand reveal of the Death Star is fitting. That being said, Rogue One Death Star music is fine. Whatever Adywan thinks is best for the scene.

Jesus christ I think that is the worst anti-Lucas post I’ve ever seem in my life. You clearly know jack and shit about the man and just eat up all of the Lucas hater shit you see. Especially the whole “rough cut of the film was garbage and the editors having to fix it” bullshit despite that being so much of a lie a guy made a 2 hour video debunking it.

I believe Adywan did a study and found a shot from him making similar expressions from a different angle. We don’t know of a reshoot filmed specifically for that shot, so I just stick with that theory.

May I ask how you learned that Hayden’s head that was added to ROTJ came from alternate angles of him saying goodbye to Obi-Wan? I’m not like questioning the fact I’m just curious to know how to found out.
When Luke introduces himself to the droids in ANH, he should call himself Luke Lars.
When Obi-Wan tells Luke about his father, he should spell out his father’s name was Anakin Skywalker and thus his name is actually Luke Skywalker.

I still hate it and would rank it as the worst scene in the series. It represents everything wrong with Star Wars fans, how all they want is just mindless scenes of “cool characters” using lightsabers for violence.
I like my Vader far more subdued, not this videogame nonsense.
Yeah, because you know, Vader “helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi knights” and was the Emperor’s main enforcer by just sitting around.
Maybe I’m confusing it with mood, but Vader’s presence in ANH is something that’s more ominous. He’s often not the focus of the shot, and it creates this really great eerie effect; like how Leia backs up into him when Alderaan’s about to be destroyed. Vader inspires dread throughout ANH, but his hallway scene is all about terror. And that’s fine, that’s great, but explosive Vader shouldn’t be his opening. It should come at the end during his duel with Obi-Wan so that it feels like a major payoff to the hints that they both possess incredible power.
I guess I can see where you’re coming from. But I mean, Vader shows his power in the beginning when he literally lifts a man up with one hand, so its not like they were holding out until the end.
I just hate the hallway scene. The fandom ruined it for me. If it would be feasible to cut it and not lose any plot, I would leap at the opportunity.
I adore it. One of my favorite Star Wars scenes now.

I think that was done because having the camera closer to the characters makes it feel more tense as it feels more claustrophobic
