I agree, Bossk, though Yoda did say Luke was 'too old to begin the training.'

I can just see it...Yoda turns him away because he's too old, and as Luke flies off with R2, Obi-Wan appears beside Yoda:
'That boy was our last hope.'
'No! Too old is he. Accept him the council never would!'
'Do you see a council around here, Master Yoda?'
'Damn! Now what hope have we? Screwed, we are.'

General DVD Talk

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 10-year Special Edition of Braveheart. Two discs, with deleted scenes, new bonus features, all of that. I already have the current DVD version, not to mention the VHS tapes, but I love that movie so much that I'll buy a new DVD edition if they release it.

Has anyone heard about the upcoming 10-disc Matrix set? It's kind of overkill, since a large portion of what they're packaging is already commercially available. It's got a 190-minute version of Reloaded, incorporating all of the movie clips from the Enter the Matrix game into the movie itself. I already have all three films, and am already planning on getting The Animatrix and Enter the Matrix, so I have no desire for this new set.

The extended sets are really nice, but I've got the theatrical cuts and can live with them. The extended versions are good to see once or twice, though, but mostly if you're a fan of the books. I don't know...as much as I like the Extended Editions, I don't feel much like going out and spending $90 for a second set of all three films, if you know what I mean.

sick!?! the"x and y sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" thing goes way back kids tease each other with it all the time. Its just a joke. It has nothing to do with homosexuals and it wasn't used to try to imply you were one. You have to grow up.

Agreed. I think everyone saw it for what it was except Jimbo. He is perhaps the most homophobic person I've come across, and the sad part is that he seems to be proud of how far his fear goes.

I feel very sorry for him, yet I can't help but laugh and shake my head at the videos. I'm starting to think that, instead of an iPod, he should've been given sword-fighting lessons so that he could track down the kids at his school who took advantage of him and beat the shit out of them. Of course, depending on the source, the students who took the video tape and put it on Kazaa were his friends just playing a joke on him or simply students at the school trying to harass him. So who knows?

Has anyone heard of Bubb Rubb? He's another of those internet phenomenons, though not as big as the Star Wars Kid.

You can do it, Warbler! You have a better chance than I do of doing it, anyway. Now if only Jimbo would leave or get kicked off...we can only hope.

I like the anamorphic, but that could be sentiment. Anyway, I chose to get the anamorphic set because I wanted all the extras (like menus, commentary, etc.). It gives the feeling of an older DVD release, while the TR-47 set was a little too bare-bones for my tastes (though I would like the better sound and picture quality).

but the stories she has about over there is enough to make you turn white...

God bless her. How lucky we are that we didn't have to live through that horror.

Amen to that.
