Gaffer Tape's YouTube Reviews of Awesome Candy-Creating Goodness! (The Facts of Life/Star Trek III Conspiracy!)

Hello again.

Me and Orson Welles Review!

Some of you might have noticed that I did a brief mentioning of this move in the Last Movie Seen thread.  I decided to do an equally brief (well, probably briefer) video review of it.  So hopefully those of you who have become weary with superheroes, anime, and spandex hero squadrons but who liked my 1776 review, might find this a little more... legitimate.

Also, it's my audition piece for Geekvolution's Who Reviews the Reviewers, so any and all support would be greatly appreciated.  I don't think viewers make any decisions, but a high view count and loving comments attached to the video itself surely couldn't hurt its perception, especially since I got the thing submitted so close to the deadline.  So, PLEASE help me out.  Papa needs a $50 Amazon gift card!

A friend of mine and I saw Soul Kitchen, a German comedy about... well, a guy who owns a restaurant.  It was quite good.  Quite funny.  Definitely a raunchy comedy but it had a bit of brains behind it.

And then last night, we rented Me and Orson Welles, and all I have to say is... how the hell did this get by my radar?!  This was awesome!!!  Apparently it was a critical and film festival darling, but it had a hard time drumming up distribution?  I mean, I figured the whole Zac Efron thing would secure it a decent release.  Anyway, it's about a young actor (Efron) who, through wonderful serendipity, secures a small part in Welles's production of Julius Caeasar at the Mercury.  Christian McKay does a brilliant job as Orson Welles, and I walked away from that film feeling extremely disgusted with Welles for being an unmitigated asshole, but... at the same time it's hard not to like the guy or at least respect him for being just all kinds of awesome and charismatic in spite of himself.   Highly recommended.

Sigh.  I woke up today to find that I had been invited as a guest on my favorite Dragon Ball podcast, for a website that I had followed since I was 14.  I spent the entire day buying a new headset, checking sound levels... and then my internet died for several hours.  So I just stood up the webmasters of two of the most popular and respected Dragon Ball websites.  FML doesn't even begin to cover it...

RE: Frink (thanks for getting in my way, Nanner.  From now on you must check to make sure it's okay with me before you post.)

Hmm. Not really sure what you're on about.  It sounds like your usual misspelling jokes, but nothing's misspelled unless you're arguing that the definite article should be capitalized.  All you've accomplished in me is that now the word looks weird as often happens when you stare at a word for too long... Thanks, Frink.
