What are your 10 best/worst character names from the SW movies?
Time
I can't really say I have a top ten best and worst list. Well, maybe I do, but I can't come up with them now. I just want to say that the only two Star Wars names that really irk me are Count Dooku and General Grievous. The worst part is that Lucas can't even pronounce his own names. The commentary shows the genius at work, with gems like "Count Doku" and "Lando Clareesian". It's really sad.

Well, the first kanji you'll learn will probably be "ichi", "ni" and "san" - or "yama"

Don't read romanji! Or else you won't be able to read hiragana or katakana skillfully, and will be reading like "uh.... to.... temo... ta... kai... desu..."

They DID offer japanese on my highschool, mostly because my highschool was founded by priests to bring japanese descendents into catholicism, until the 50s it accepted only japanese kids, and until 1960, only boys. It was VERY optional, few people knew it even existed, and I didn't take back then, I wish I did.

Yep. You're very right. We learned 1-10... er ichi-juu today.

The Japanese spelling of Yamucha makes it too many syllables long. Just "Yamcha" works, though.

No, it doesn't, because it's not pronounced. A lot of Japanese u sounds aren't. So Yamucha is pronounced the same as Yamcha. I just prefer the way Yamucha looks.

I never beat Mega Man. I remember getting to some giant one-eyed creature. Mega Man 2 was much easier, and I finished that.

Yeah, the Cyclops thing can be a pain in the ass, but once you learn his pattern, he's not as hard. Use the elecbeam. He comes back in 3 as well...

Hai. Arigatoo gozaimasu.

Well, it's hard when you don't really know it yet. I've fallen behind in that class. I failed my hiragana test because I forgot it was the date that it was on. I've just now mastered hiragana, and since I spent all my time doing that, I haven't learned much katakana yet. On the bright side, my dialogue and vocab (in romaji anyway) are pretty good. ^_^

And, actually, our first kanji lesson will be tomorrow right after the test.

I've never played Metroid II, but your post reminds me of how annoying the low life energy sound on the Zelda games are. I mean, I know I'm about to die! I don't need a stinking repetitive beep telling me that! If anybody on the Twilight Princess R&D is reading this (fat chance), please make the Zelda beep an optional gameplay device from now on! Pleaseeeeeee!

Banned?

I totally agree with Warbler about the lifetime ban. I was somewhat sympathetic until he started making account after account after account. When he started posting those Dakota Fanning pictures all over the boards, though, that was the last straw for me. He made a mockery of these boards. He doesn't respect them. Therefore, we shouldn't tolerate him.

Yeah, Super Metroid was awesome. Just beat that recently. Wasn't too difficult. Not as difficult as the original Metroid (you're forced to draw your own maps so you don't get lost!)

Yeah, that's another one I haven't beaten. I own it, but I've never gotten very far.

I can beat Mario 3 quite easily, but I didn't beat the original Super Mario until about a year ago. I have Punch-Out without the Mike Tyson endorsement, but Mr. Dream fights pretty much the same as Tyson. It took me years, but I finally beat him a year ago. I'm not sure what advice I have except just stay on your toes and never blink.

I've never beaten the second quest on The Legend of Zelda, and I've never beaten Zelda II.
