Completely true. I'll watch the PT after I'm done watching the OT, but when I watch the OT, and they talk about the past, I don't picture the past as it is from the prequels. It's like trying to mix oil and water. They totally contradict each other.

Return of the Jedi - was it what it was meant to be?

I always got the impression that Lando risking his life and giving up his entire life to save Leia, Chewie, and the droids to be a valiant deed of atonement.

'With A Little Help From My Friends' sounds awesome coming out of Joe Cocker's mouth. I didn't really like the original, though...seems passionless.

I used to prefer that version as well and dislike the original, but now it's grown on me a lot, and I like both versions.

Bah! We're purists here, aren't we? We don't need any whiners who are gonna complain, "Awww, I hate reading from right to left! It's too haaaaard!"

2) "Between his howling and you blasting everthing in site, it's a wonder the whole station doesn't know were here" Scene..
3) Han's torture and the following Lando stare at Fett scene, then the conversation with Vader afterwards
4) Love the fight with Luke and Vader, when Lukes fly thru the window, then the race to the falcon after. Again, the music, the colours...just great
5) The whole carbonite scene...from start to finish...ever since I was a young boy I've loved that.

And how many of you here used to lay in the bath with the water full up pretending to be frozen in carbonite??...I did

And I used to freeze my figures in ice

Actually, to simulate carbonation, I used to wrap my figures in wet tissue paper.

Yeah, now that you mentioned it, I never thought of that as his surname either. And saying just plain Boba sounds completely stupid.

Well, actually, it wasn't your fault. I'm the one who first mentioned my katakana test (which I think I did pretty well on, by the way), which is what got us started on this tangent. Don't blame yourself. There was nothing you could have done. You'd have been killed too. And the katakana would now be in the hands of the... Yeah, I'm an idiot.

They sure can.
So, Han (Me) on Guitar, 3PO (Ric) on Keyboard/Synth and Greedo (Chaltab) on Ocarina. This is shaping up to be one hell of a band. Vader or R2 are clear contenders for lead vocals IMO.

We need a bassist and someone on the drums. Chaltab really got the spirit of prog rock, an ocarina?? Quite Jethro Tull-esque!

How about me as Yoda on drums?

Yeah, I'm really hoping I can make it too, but I have a much farther journey than you.

But, for once, I want to utilize this thread for its purpose...

Well, I wouldn't say that. I'm not going to deny the importance of the game. It gave personalities to Luigi, Peach, and Toad, was a great inspiration for the kickass Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and it added a whole lot of concepts and villains to the Mario lexicon. I like it, but I still wouldn't say that it was better than the real SMB2. It was like what Mega Man II was for the Mega Man series. It took the concepts of the original game and pushed them and tweaked them just enough so that it was completely awesome!

Most Underrated Console System
Time
I'd hardly think that Megadrive/Genesis was an underrated console. I mean, it and Super NES were in a pretty hot competition for the first half of the '90s. It was big! It was huge! I never had one, but still...

I think the most underrated console was Virtual Boy. It's the only Nintendo system I don't own, but I wanted it so bad. Sure, it's not perfect virtual reality, but I thought it was pretty cool from the store demos I played. And its failure caused Nintendo to severely punish Gunpei Yokoi (who also invented Game and Watch, the whole concept of a control pad as opposed to a joystick, and, of course Game Boy) who was killed by a car a few years later.

Very sad.

That one I happen to agree with. Lost levels is too damn hard.

I know. But atleast it didn't come to america until allstars.

Why is that a good thing? I'm pretty sad that we didn't get the game originally, and it was solely for the reason that the powers that be thought that Americans sucked at games.
