If George had only changed Special effects for the SE and DVD, would people have complained as much?

Tell me about it. I watched it recently too, and there's absolutely no reason to think that anything in that movie ever needs changing. And please tell me that puppet Yoda is different from CG Yoda in part because of the eyes. I've always felt that Yoda's soul was in his eyes, and the original Yoda just had those eyes that made his character, while the CG Yoda just could never, ever duplicate it.

I like Bobby, so he should stay away from the list. I've always hated Luanne, though. I'm so glad she moved out. What a ditz...

And who the heck started that damned E.T. II rumor up again? Or do rumors never die now?

Nah, it showed the flux capacitor short out. But then again, that doesn't mean anything since we got the time train and a new DeLorean for the animated series.

Guys, if we stop the Rocky films, then we risk causing permanent damage to another loved trilogy: Back to the Future!

How do you figure this?

Because certain fans have clamored for quite a while for a fourth Back to the Future movie. So far, Universal has expressed no interest in doing so. But if Rocky VI cashes in, they might believe that a sequel could work. But Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale have constantly stated ever since 1990 that there would never be a BTTF4. But they said on the BTTF3 DVD that while they own the characters, Universal owns the name Back to the Future, so they could basically make whatever they wanted and slap the BTTF name on it. It would just be without Marty, Doc, and anything else that could possibly make a good movie.

I don't hear many people complain about the many small FX changes that were actually made for the SE and the DVD (which could be seen as a new edition altogether). For instance, the moving Dewbacks and the corrected animation of the death star doors.

Actually, people have complained about the Dewbacks, particularly their introduction. They claim it ruins the pacing and is totally expendable. In my opinion, it's messed up because they draw too much attention to themselves. It was one of his many, "Look at the awesome special effects!" special effect shots where the camera stays on this Dewback clomping around the desert. It's very similar to Boba Fett mugging the camera at the end of the Jabba scene. "Look! It's Fett! You all know you love Fett! And he loves you too! He's looking right at you! Haven't I done great?"

Yeah, that was one of the first episodes "A Day in the Life" I think. Co-creator Peter David said that Mark was promised that shooting would be over by a certain time, but they ran really late, and there are outtakes of Mark jokingly complaining by continuously calling out the time.

Can you imagine Han fighting Luke, that is what the duel in ROTS should have felt like.

Yeah, but Sith was still pretty much a lock to be a blockbuster. At this point, any Star Wars movie would be. But I do see where you're coming from. My previous sentence proves that. But I think Sith might have been better simply because it was what everyone wanted to see as well as what you said about fans pressuring him to do a better job. Personally, I don't think it's that much better, as I've never inappropriately laughed at a Star Wars film in theatres before this one, but it did have its moments.

Space Cases

Does anyone remember this 96-97 Nickelodeon sci-fi show? When I was introduced to Firefly, I found out that Jewel Staite (Kaylee) used to play Catalina on the first season of Space Cases. I just came home from college and found that I recorded several episodes back when it used to air, which I have been enjoying now for several hours ^_^. From what I heard, this show still airs in Canada. Too bad I live practically on the opposite end of the continent... But this is a show that needs a DVD release. Only 26 episodes. They could churn it out on one boxset.

Sigh, another show that the networks took down before it got a chance to tell its whole story. Very similar to Firefly in the respect. Plus, Jewel Staite's character plays the engineer in both shows. Hmm...
