Why the long face? That show should have ended last season when Topher Grace left. The new episodes suck in comparison. It's almost as if they're trying to mirror Happy Days. And as for the year question, they were in 1979 until this season when they decided to remove the year completely. In the opening credits, if you've noticed, the license plate doesn't have the year sticker anymore. And in one episode that I caught, I think it was the season premiere when Kitty is making a tape to send to Eric in Africa, she gets Red to talk to Eric, he says something like, "I'm sorry to say that your G.I. Joes were killed in the Battle of the Dumpster of 1979." And Kitty replies, "Well, looks like you're going to be losing the Battle of Me Cooking You Dinner of 19... tonight!" So, yeah, it's 1980 now.

Hehe, I must admit this is getting funny, although I can't figure out why people would think that was real. But the ensuing comedy has been worth it, so... tee hee. I generally hate dysfunctional families, but they can be amusing at times. ^_~

And the "going nuts after 20 years of isolation" doesn't apply because we've already concluded his speech doesn't get crazy, it gets better over time. If it was the other way around, and Yoda's lines had been coherent in the prequels and "Bass-ackwards" in ESB, then I could accept that rationalization.

Well, just to clarify, I wouldn't call him evil simply because he has his own studio now and is the head of a major corporation. I mean, that's simply success. It's just the way he abuses it and hordes his products. Compare him to Joss Whedon, who constantly called Serenity "our" movie, referring to himself and the fans as a collective group. He considers himself a fan and considers his fans as part of the collaborative process. He's making for us. George just clings tightly to his movies like a rabid dog with a piece of meat. "GRR! Mine! Don't touch it! Leave me alone!"

I didn't mind them until they started supplanting the actual titles. Just like I didn't mind the prequels until they started altering the originals to fit to them.

Yeah, and it works both ways. For people like you, who think it should be watched in numerical order, it leaves that suspense open, like you said. And for people like me, it keeps a scene out that is unnecessary since we already know where he ends up. And everyone's happy.

Couldn't agree with you more there. Plus, over the past several years, their lineup has been horribly stitled. They only have, like, three or four shows that they endlessly put through rotation.

And, yeah, I would love to have seen an actual logo for the prequel titles. Stupid episode numbering bull crap. I try to look at it from a non-fan perspective and it just seems stupid to hear fans talking about their favorite movies by saying a number. "Yeah. Two is my favorite." "Maybe, but Five has a lot of good elements." Geez, are we talking about pieces of cinema or a vehicle or a computer? It's just another thing that makes us look stupid to the common folk.
