TV series set between ROTS and ANH

I'm not going to damn them just yet, I'll wait for them to make it first - but you can bet that if it sucks I'd be happy to rain all kinds of shit on it. MSTing bad TV shows (Crusade again) is one of my favourite passtimes.

Hmm, I'm thinking Firefly, and I'm thinking one of the best TV shows in recent years... but I guess we're not on the same page.

Inserting deleted scene of Yoda's exile into ANH??

How about digitally painting over Sebastian Shaw's eyebrows so they'd match the burned face that Hayden had even when Revenge of the Sith had yet to be released?

That was actually always a continuity eroor, since we all new what had happened to him, even when ANH first came out.

How is that a continuity error? The Anakin, as he appears at the end of ROTJ, is obviously a burn victim. It's not ignoring the fact that he was lavafied. Who's to say he was necessarily burned in his eyebrow area? There was nothing wrong with the scene before, and I had no idea why it was changed until I saw ROTS. And then I groaned.

It worked for Firefly!

Heh, I have to admit I was thinking the same thing. Of course, most of the worlds on Firefly have that western/outdoorsy feel, while the worlds on Star Wars have all kinds of different monoclimate worlds. Of course, they could just film the whole thing in front of a blue screen and have one of Lucas's kids fingerpaint backgrounds for them.

I'm sorry, that was mean, but I couldn't resist.

You'll count Hayden Christensen, but you won't count Ian McDiarmid? Wow, that's selective viewing, for sure. Okay, so, apparently those examples aren't glaring enough for you. For most of us, they are. Well, you wanted another one. Here it is: adding the Jedi temple into the end of Return of the Jedi. There. Is that enough for you? How about digitally painting over Sebastian Shaw's eyebrows so they'd match the burned face that Hayden had even when Revenge of the Sith had yet to be released? Want another one? I got one. Changing Ben's noise to scare away the sandpeople to match that horribly annoying lizard creature he rides in Revenge of the Sith. When I first saw ROTS and realized that it was the same noise I'd noticed had been changed several months earlier, I wanted to strangle somebody.

Well, I met your challenge. Do I get a cookie or something?

Are the firefly DVDs missing something?
Time
Hmm, I hate it when people find Firefly dull, because I just don't understand how they can. That's nothing against you, HotRod, and I really hope you get into it. But like Chaltab said, Serenity ups the ante about a hundred fold.

Adam, I've never heard of an opening narration sequence. The DVD extras contain the prototype opening scene that Joss originally planned to use, but it doesn't have any narration, either. Serenity (the movie) starts with narration, but that's the only time that style of exposition is used (unless you count Tracey's recording in "The Message.")

What scene in the (O-)OT do you hate/dislike the most?
Time
Yeah, I'm aware of that. I believe that. But, then again, I don't believe Anakin was dead. And so it makes sense that way. Using your logic, the only way your explanation would make sense would be if little random pieces of Anakin's body are floating around in there. And, last time I checked, dead pieces of body (not that I've checked) aren't going to make a living person pick up their characteristics if they come into contact with one another.

There's a time and a place for seriousness, and a time and a place for joking. I don't expect jokes about race and ethnicity would go over too well during a UN council meeting, for example, but, beyond formal, serious situations, people should just lighten up and learn to laugh at their own idiosyncracies or how silly some of their national customs might look to people who aren't used to them. People should stop getting offended so easily. Otherwise, with political correctness, the whole world just sits around awkardly in a room, hoping that no one coughs, in fear that it might set someone off. Life's too short for that kind of crap.
