I think I see something on your nose. Better clean it off. Yeah I know man. But seriously, sometime you can just tell when someone is butt-ugly and pretending not to be, and some case (like this one) you can tell when they're not lying. But anyway, I can rest easy because it look's like Gaffer has surpassed me in the brown-nose stakes with this little ditty...
(but not the post count stakes, eh Gaff?

Eh, makeup's overrated. I'm sure you'd look just great without eye liner, Jenny.

Heh, I'm not sure I'd call that brown nosing. I just really don't like makeup on girls, that's all. Now that I've seen her picture, I can testify that Jenny is indeed a very pretty girl from a purely objective standpoint.

When did America's Millionaire have four lifelines? And what was the fourth one? And how many does Australia have?

Australia has three - ask the audience, phone a friend and 50:50. Now, when I was in America, I saw two versions, one with a female host and another with a male host - I was thinking perhaps that one was in New York and the other in LA or some kind of East Coast/West Coast thing. The fourth lifeline that I saw on the American ones (not sure which one) was a switch-the-question lifeline. Ring any bells?

The "male host" version of Who Wants to be a Millionare? was by Regis Phillbin starting in '99, I think, and I know the original version only had the three lifelines you mentioned. In flipping through channels recently, I've seen a few minutes of this female hosted version. I have no idea who it is, and I was surprised to see that the show was still going on (its appeal having been sapped exponentially after its initial appeal wore off). But being able to switch a question does seem a bit too easy, which is probably why Mrs. Millionaire will never be the next Regis.

And, yeah, sybeman, I remember that Pokemon thing. Sad.

The ultimate "fan-edit"
Time
I agree that it would happen as well. I'm not even sure that it's because most people believe the originals are better, but simply because George has been so staunchly against them for so long that it's driven curiosity demand up, not to mention fear that the release would be the last one. So George basically dug his own hole. But since the decision rests in his own hands, he can keep himself from being screwed by not releasing it. Or if he ever did, it would be very low key or a very limited release to keep the sales from exceeding his own vision. Or he could do what he did with the special edition by no longer calling it the special edition. If he does not market the originals as the originals, they will draw less attention to himself. How he could do that with the special editions now being the unspecified Star Wars trilogy would be difficult, but I'm sure his ad wizards could figure it out somehow. That's assuming he'd want to in the first place, which I sincerely doubt.

SW Tourn of Champs The Final 4 : Vader vs Yoda, Obiwan vs Luke
Time
I feel easily able to pick Luke over Obi-Wan for the reasons that ric just described as well as my own tastes. Luke just served a greater overall importance to the real story. Obi-Wan helped guide Luke to that destiny. As for the other, I'll have to get back to you on that. Both were wonderful in the OT but were very much screwed over in the PT. I loved both characters in the OT, yet they both annoyed me in the PT. It's hard to make.

Don't you miss the old days of comics when B and S trusted each other and solved crimes together rather than being at each other's throats? Yeah, me neither. Heh, actually, I'm not sure, but I guess it would be nice if they could reconcile.

And I think Batman's cooler.

EDIT: And awesome pic HSvIJ

John William's Opinion on the Special Editions
Time
The widescreen BTTF2&3 discs had very serious and highly publicized framing errors. You see, the BTTF movies were shot in an open matte ratio. Rather than being filmed in a 1.88:1 ratio, they were filmed in Academy (and TV) standard 1.33:1 with the top and bottom cropped for theatrical release. The sequels were framed incorrectly in the first DVD shipments in 2002 and 2003, misframing actors and occasionally cutting out important information. Universal then offered a number to call. If you provided them with your address, they'd ship you prepaid postage envelopes to send back the two discs and then send you the corrected ones. Everything was free of charge and handled really well. Lucas could learn from that. I must admit it's one of the few times I've ever seen a major corporation admit they were wrong.
