STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV in Los Angeles - May 24-28 2007
Time
I'll accept responsibility for the flaming in order to derail this thread for just a little while longer. I've always wanted to travel, but I just haven't been able to afford it. My family hasn't even taken a vacation anywhere in seven years. Fortunately, I was able to tag along on my girlfriend's family's vacation two years ago. But I'd really love to see the world, especially Japan, because I'm a geek.

Return of the Jedi Script Game
Time
Ben: Anakin was a good friend. When I first knew him, your father was already a great pilot, but I was amazed at how strongly the Force was with him. I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi. I thought I could instruct him just as well as Yoda. I was wrong.
Luke: There is still good in him.
Ben: He's more machine now than man, twisted and evil.

Come on, guys. Let's take it a little easier on these transcriptions, or else this movie is going to be over before we know it!

We have to buy this set atleast to preserve it for the next generation of fans
Time
I seriously doubt that. I wish that were true, but you know it's not going to happen like that. Most of the general public doesn't realize the changes. Even most of the older fans who do know the difference don't care enough to take a stand because it's close enough to Star Wars. And all the fans are definitely going to try to pass it down to their kids. Lucas's goal is to pass these things off as the originals. He will win when there's hardly anybody around who can tell the difference. I think we've put a big dent in his plans, though, by stirring up enough crap that it's become relevent again, and it's mainstream news about the OOT vs. SE.

1977-->1993: What?!
Time
When I said the "original" voice, I meant the original dubbed voice, of course. Beru's voice was always dubbed. I figured everyone already knew that.

Yes, I did, and I already said I did. I just didn't clarify what I meant when I said original. But I think I will check out that link in your sig, as I've never heard the alternate voice.

EDIT: Been to your site. Awesome! Very informative.

I only own two third-party controllers. There's the N64 one I've already mentioned (made by Pelican, whom I've never heard of, but it's a turbo controller), and the SNES controller I got to replace the one my dog ate. It's made by Superpad, I think (I could check, but that would require me getting out of this chair). The cool thing about it is that it retains the Japanese Super Famicom button colors (red, yellow, green, and blue, as opposed to light blue and dark blue). It's a little bulkier and has no special features, but it's a pretty good controller, although I haven't used it in a while.

Eh, that's my worst one. Then I got the red one, which is getting pretty old, too, because red's my favorite color, and I started using it as my primary. Then the third I got was the blue one, which is still almost in mint condition, because I soon got the Extreme Green controller, which became my primary, and it's getting a bit worn too. And, a year ago, I bought a third party controller, which has a tighter but slightly less precise control stick. I use that as my primary now, because I'm not as worried about it being worn. However, when I played Majora's Mask a few months ago, I'd have to sometimes switch it out with an official controller, because the stick wasn't precise enough to aim arrows at very small targets.
