Does Splinter Cell make use of the Wii-Mote? What do you folks recommend? Still have to wait a couple of weeks, but right around the corner and I'm starting to find it more and more (it was in my local Walmart the other day but didn't have the $$ at the time).

Although I haven't played it myself, I've heard good things from multiple people about WarioWare.

I'm not at all trying to say they're the same thing in that context, but, in some ways, they are similar. The reason we in western society look down on marrying off girls at that age is because we tend to agree that girls of that age lack the emotional maturity to be married in the first place. Plus, the whole idea of arranged marriages, for gain instead of love, is a bit wonky to me. I was by no means condoning the practice in my last post. I was simply playing devil's advocate and bringing another point. And it's true, like you say, that a 17 year old sleeping with a 24 year old is incorrectly categorized as rape. Truly, sexual coersion on a child is wrong by all accounts, and I doubt many would disagree. But just because something else has been justified by many other societies doesn't make it right either. Just like you said, the world isn't black and white.

Except for the C-stick issues that Nanner mentioned, I thought Ocarina of Time worked just as well on GameCube as it did on N64. Honestly, the C-stick only bothered me on the ocarina to a small extent. For my items, I always used it rather than X, Y, and Z. They just didn't feel like the game to me.

In other news, I just bought Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga today, and I think it's great. After years of watching the cartoons, they finally made a game that shows the Mario Bros. (whatever happened to the Bros., huh?) working together! Anybody else ever play this?

Yeah, sean, that was a bit over the line.

But, back on topic: I just beat The Legend of Zelda! Not that it was the first time, but, for those of you who have been keeping up, it's been giving me some grief lately. So who here has tackled the second quest? I tried it once several years ago, after the first time I beat the game, but I had my ass quickly handed to me and have little desire to try again. The game is hard enough to begin with.

Valentine's Day
Time
Since my girlfriend and I take up residence in different cities, I have yet to see mine since Valentine's Day. But, at her request, I bought her a big-ass box of chocolates and (not at her request, but I thought she might get a kick out of it) a Snoopy Valentine's Day card... in Spanish. I was just feeling impish at the time. And she has or is going to get me something, but I don't know what yet.
