And why not? Without R2 and 3PO, Luke would still be on Tattooine, Leia would still be held prisoner, Han and Chewie would still be making Kessel runs...and most of all if the four of them did somehow unite, they would never have gotten out of that trash compactor alive.

I thought the same thing. But then I remembers Lucas saying that he forgone the extra money in exchange for maintaining the rights to his movies. So even though FOX distributed the SW films. they don't technically own them. Lucasfilm does, so I'm more than sure than Ady is in the clear.

In the original DVD, Luke say,"...I'm never coming back the this place again." He sounded definite about it, yet in ROTJ, he actually did return to Tattooine to save his friends from Jabba the Hutt. "...I don't think I'll be coming back to this planet anyway," sounds better for him to say cause he's still has no intention of returning to the planet, but he's not as definite about it.

That frame is from the DVD-9 version. At least the DVD-9 version from Link Talk. So is that modified horizon from the DVD-5 version?
I think so. It took me a few attempts to successfully download the DVD-5 version. Atleast now I know what to do when ESB:R is up for download.

Considering the changes we've seen with the asteroid chase, the transport escape, cloud city, and Yoda's facial movements, I think a lot of us were wrong in assuming ESB was perfect as-is.
Hell, the color correction alone is worthy of high praise!
There really is no "right" or "wrong", just "a matter of opinion." And in mine, I think Empire is the best of all six not just in the special effects but also in the movie's incredible plot.

The idea is to restructure the beginning of ROTJ. The way I see it working best is like so:
- Opening crawl
- Vader visits Death Star
- Leia delivers Chewbacca to Jabba
- Luke (who has been training on Dagobah since the end of ESB) sees Yoda die
- Leia releases Han and is captured
- Luke lands on Tatooine that night and goes to Ben's hut - "I can't do it, Artoo" - Ben's conversation with Luke (I'm in favor of getting rid of Ben's conversation altogether)
- Artoo and Threepio visit Jabba and get captured (no message delivery, straight to dungeon)
- Luke arrives, film continues more or less like normal from hereNote that the Luke on Dagobah/Chewie's "bounty" scenes could be flipped, but I think this works best for pacing.
A very interesting idea for restructuring the first part of ROTJ. There's just one little thing that doesn't make sense: Artoo and Threepio visit Jabba and get captured (no message delivery, straight to the dungeon.) Why would Luke send the droids to Jabba's palace without any purpose? Jabba's would just think that they were stray droids and wouldn't have any suspicion that they were part of a plan to rescue Han.
Here's how I would see it: Luke could have foreseen that Leia and Chewie had been captured, so he sends the droids as decoys to deliver his message to Jabba asking to release his friends in exchange for the droids. Knowing well that Jabba won't comply and will simply just take the droids, Luke enters the palace shortly after the droids are employed by the Hutt, and deal with him personally.

well you totally contradicted yourself about the sky here Monroville. As i've said i'm not changing anything about the new shot. it works perfectly well for me. The brightness matches the other shots in the sequence whereas before , as i have said already, the original shot looked stormy. I guess there is only one way to settle this as you need to see it in motion and in context with the rest of the sequence. I'm wondering just how many are still comparing the colouring with the 2004 shots instead of my colour corrected version?
please don't post this clip on youtube because it isn't finished. ignore the first shot because that's just the colour corrected version and i haven't begun work on this yet
