I'm more curious about how Boba Fett managed to get himself AND Slave 1 from the bridge of the Executor (where he and the other bounty hunters were meeting with Vader and Piett) to the inside of the Avenger (the ship chasing the Falcon).
Hmm....
Once again, boys...not everything in the movie needs to be explained. If you don't know, then you can use your *waves hands and makes a rainbow" imagination :D
Thank you. I thought it would be nice of me to ask. I'll also be giving you some credit like I did with Adywan when I uploaded "Star Wars Revisited" on to YouTube.
ChainsawAsh,
If it's okay with you, may I take a shot at an episode-less Return of the Jedi?
Bingowings said:Perhaps someone should do the reverse of the Hayden insert at put Seb Shaw's ghost into Hayden's costume.
We never saw him wearing those clothes in life so it seems a bit odd that he should have a wardrobe change in the afterlife.
I think that the garbs that the Anakin and Obi-Wan spirits wear are more like those white robes and halos that angels are depicted wearing. After all, when Obi-Wan died -- or rather released his attachement from his body and vanished -- his cloak didn't disappear with him. Yet, when he reappears in Empire and Jedi, he's wearing his Jedi robe.
True that. My question basically is aimed at George Lucas edtions of ESB. I looked at Adywan's clip of the Ion canon, and it makes more sense to have the fleet of SD spread around the planet.
According to Wookieepedia, Obi-Wan was about 25 in TPM. And Anakin was about 10, so they would be 15 years apart in age.
BarBar Jinkx said:I was listening to the ESB radio play last night & it gave me an idea
When Luke is leaving Hoth have him escort that rebel transport seen taking off in the distance
in Space
Add other x wings to Luke leaving hoth with the desabled SD in the distance
THe RT & xwings travel along a straight course and enter lightspeed followed swiftly by Luke vering off for dagobah.
That sounds like a good idea, BarBar.
One thing I wondered about is when the Rebel fleet was evacuating Hoth, they were going into space with literally infinite directions in which to travel...yet why did they head straight into the Imperial fleet in Star Destroyers?
I know ROTJ:R is still a long way off, but I had a dream last night that inspired an interesting idea for the end with Anakin's Jedi Spirit appears next to Obi-wan and Yoda. The idea is to keep Sebastian Shaw, but somehow make his hair seem less grey with a bit of coloring that almost matches Hayden's.
ROTJ:R concept of Sebastian Shaw with younger Anakin hair coloring

The logic of this is that Obi-Wan and Anakin are supposed to be about 15 years apart in age.

When I was young, I always thought it was just a coinsidence that he landed there. (And it looked so fake) But if it sucked him in, perhaps you should add some sort of vacuum sound effect. and speed it up so it doesnt look so fake when he goes in there.
yes good point.
And some more random camera move because it looks like reversed played footage ;)

Some reversed smoke/vapors (sped up) also going into the tube would help the shot...
Ooh! This is an even bigger jackpot than when the Emperor figured out the formula for great Star Wars dialogue.

Jedi can use the Force to cushin their falls. And I know Luke wasn't offically a Jedi yet, but I think the Force was strong enough with him. You could say he was sucked into the tube, but he still was able to cushin his fall through the Force.
adywan said:Well in Ralph McQuarrie's pre-production paintings there were originally 4 structures. Kind of like a set of processing plants. It actually makes sense that the carbon chamber would be located in these structures. Any waste gets dumped down the core and jettisoned out the same type of tubes that Luke is sucked into and to the planet below. After all it is a gaseous planet so doubtful anyone is living below. If you look at the carbon chamber it isn't actually that big. So it is plausible that it can be situated in the dome. The whole section where they fight by the window is like the main control room
I often thought the same thing. And with the way to scene flows in the movie, viewers would be more concerned for Luke surviving his encounter against Vader than they would about the logical location of the structures.

Lets hope by 2015 you have the first 3 done.
Then he can do Back to the Future I, II, and III Revisited! Great Scott!
He could do that if he chooses to. Though, he's probably want a long vacation from "revists" after he's done with the SW saga.

You're welcome...and I'm sorry that I didn't know sooner that was your YouTube account and that many of us had already seen your video.

EyeShotFirst said:MTV or MTV 2 or MTV 3? From all I see on my tv MTV should die. Nothing but reality shows PURE GARBAGE. But if they show star wars they may redeem themselves.
They showed episodes 1 and 2 last night, they're showing 3 and 4 tonight, and their showing 5 and 6 tomorrow night.
I remember the MTV documentary "What Star Wars ruled the world." It has the one shot of Harrison Ford in the carbon freeze scene during the filming of Empire, and that one shot completley denounced the error that Han was wearing his vest in the close up shots.
I'm not saying that he should. I'm just saying it would be funny if he did.
You know what would be funny for an easter egg? If Ady threw in that clip of Vader being an asshole. I think you all know what I mean.

Threepio and Artoo are well liked (one the whole) by their owner/masters but they are not considered much more than property.
Unless someone writes a droid Spartacus storyline into Episodes VII through to IX they (and the Clonetroopers) are slaves and would never be given medals (even by the so called good guys).
Oh, I remember that all too well. In my eyes, though, R2-D2 and C-3PO have proven themselves to be more equals with people than any other droid has. True, they needed masters to care for them in order to continue to function. But their masters needed them just as much, especially in ROTJ when 3PO used his translation abilities to communicate with the Ewoks and convinced to aid the Rebels.
Sure that's how we are meant to see them but the fact that our heroes don't paints them in a slightly less than glossy white than some people believe.
I wish we did get a sequel trilogy which explored what happens to the Rebels once they win.
Ben looks back at the Old Republic as a golden age but when we see it in TPM we find that the rot had already set in before Palpatine starts working the system.
Project ROTJ into the future and will the good guys still be the good guys if they allow slavery (droid and non-droid) to continue and what do you do with Death Star technology once someone had built a couple of them, what do you do with the Stormtroopers (I know that the EU tells us they stopped being clones but as far as the films go they are slaves too)?
Will Luke's Jedi be as hamstrung by dogma as the Jedi in his father's day?
Will Leia go as bad as her dad?
The EU books are just one concept for events that proceed ROTJ. As fans, we can use our imaginations to develop our own concepts. There's really no right or wrong answer.
There is plenty of ground to cover in a sequel trilogy, Lucas is possibly not the guy to do it though.
He's rejigged the story so it's all about Anakin.
He might as well stop calling it Star Wars and just call it The Anakin Saga.
I perfer to think of it as "The Story of the Skywalker Family as told through the eyes of the droids"

Here's the deal. i like the idea, but adywan doesn't go for flashbacks. however, i would like to see something that would let us get inside vader's head. why the sudden change of heart? though i already know it, it would be nice to see on screen.
also, i noticed something at the end of their duel. luke its the railings with his lightsaber twice, but they don't cut. the only time he cuts the railing is when he chops vaders hand off.
last thing i'd like to add, i read a book, the rise and fall of darth vader, at the end, after he dies, he imagines obi-wan talking to him saying that he is invited into the light through his redemption.
is there anyway we could reference the prophecy in the movie?
First, let me thank you for the compliment. Second, I am aware that Adywan doesn't do flashbacks. I am also aware that he isn't the only one who is doing fan-edits. So, couldn't we say that this forum is a wishlist for all fan-edit projects?
Also, I'm sure Ady will consider fixing -- or rather, cutting -- the railing error when the time comes for ROTJ:R.
As for reference to the prophecy...it might be easier just to remove any and all mentions of it in the prequel.
ChainsawAsh said:While Spielberg directing "Jedi" would have been fantastic, the real undoing of the awesomeness that would have been "Jedi" was Gary Kurtz leaving (being fired?) as producer. After that Lucas went on a big power trip and threw out all the outlines he and Kurtz had banged out together after ANH, and started from scratch. And look what we ended up with.
I really, really, really want to read the original ESB and ROTJ outlines that were written after ANH ... but I don't think it'll ever happen, sadly.
Well, I do have a book called "The Star Wars Trilogy Annotations" which includes all three screen plays plus added notes about original rough drafts, like how Kashyyyk was originally in place of Endor and that the rebels got help from the Wookie natives, about how there were two (or possibly more) Death Stars being constructed and that the final battle between Luke and Vader was going to take place on Mustafar.
