What about the shot of the exhaust port?
What about the shot of the exhaust port?
The 2004 DVDs are what gave birth to the DELIBERATE CREATIVE DECISION meme. Lucasfilm tried to claim that all the fuck-ups were deliberate creative decisions, which in some ways just made it worse.
How can THIS be classed as a “deliberate creative decision”?
Now, those colours do look more appealing to me; I like the ReEd colour palette. Will give this a download later!
Can you tell if a movie’s been reanimated?
it’s still our fault.
Care to withdraw that statement now?
I suppose I should.
Does this mean the endorsement on the Silver Screen Edition is getting pulled?
What endorsement?
Our endorsement…!

My presentation is structured to begin with a lot of “wow factor” before-and-afters with what it IS officially right now on Blu-Ray, compared to Legacy. Back to back, that is a pretty stunning contrast, easily discernible by anyone, and a good place to start. In fact, that back and forth can go on so long, be so damning, that it can start to look cruel and unusual to the Blu-Ray, and is around that point that I’ll be shifting into a bit on “how did this happen?” - a bit of a history lesson - which again is designed to be informative and interesting. But to most people, it’s hard to believe, unless they really see it, just how bad a shape Star Wars is in. I mean, no other important, relevant release (they’re still making Star Wars movies, you’ll notice) is so mistreated and neglected. But a pitch is a show - all pitches are. And I’ve done God-knows-how-many of them in my career. It’s a full multi-media presentation in a theater, with lots of eye candy, and aims to lead the audience towards an inescapable conclusion. But how it’s unique and different, and most importantly, profitable, are just key elements. So certainly an analysis of the market and making that case is part of it. But it’s gotta stay entertaining, and potential laden. Legacy, should it be adopted, would be the first truly new offering in a long time - not just another repackaging, and not just a bit of hype. This is a Star Wars nobody’s really ever seen, ready for 4K… ready for a limited theatrical release if they wanted to do it. It’s a strong pitch just on its merits, but that’s by no means a slam dunk. It’s got to be done just right, pitch-perfect, at the right time with the right people and every last pushback planned for. I have help from a fantastic team. We’re on it.
I’m pretty sure they’ll vote your way, Mike. They’ll have to.
it’s still our fault.

I dunno, maybe they’re talking about getting the initial release out.
I would however, not hold my breath for the technicolor project, without getting into detail.
That doesn’t really surprise me, after what’s happened.
This is indeed a sad day for us. Thanks for everything Poita. Best wishes for the future.
…I suppose all this means the Blu-ray is cancelled?
I understand now. …but it’s still our fault.
It was just a suggestion.
We shouldn’t have riffed on team accounts so much. It’s our fault.
Nothing to do with that.
Negative-1 said it was!

WHAT?!?! What do you mean unethical means?! We’re ALL unethical here! There’s gotta be some kind of mistake!
That’s gonna be great! It’s gonna be great!
Dear God, the news of this massive loss is devastating! We could do with a few quartz discs right about now!
Last night I ordered this rather splendid TFA poster from the Pixel Empire.
I got a 15% discount thanks to Caddicarus! And it comes with a free BB-8 poster too!
Further edits to the saga involve wasting the talents of more beloved actors. This would be 079. #180246: Sir John Hurt. He appears at the end of ROTJ replacing Marlon Brando (from a previous version) as Anakin to say a few lines to Luke before dying.
This coincides with the revelation of Luke’s beard in TFA.
Some earlier footage from his career is also used for his ghost form.
They also proceed to waste Patrick Stewart by putting him in as a bit part in the Jedi Council.
And while I’m at it, a few suggestions from FoxTrot:
I distinctly remember someone was working on a ROTJ vector arcade game a while ago. I wonder what happened to it?
Cut to Jake VanDorn crying in the cinema after Han’s death. (Something like this comes to mind.)
Ok. Thanks!
Would it be alright if I repackaged the posters and lobby cards from the original boxset for one of my own covers?
How did you manage to find a version of the poster without Luke and Leia on it?!
