No, I didn’t think we’d win. What’s the 16mm like? Has it got the same colours?

As a side note, I was flipping channels on Saturday, and FX was showing Spiderman 2 in 4:3 full frame. Very strange.
Did you record it?
Ah man, it feels like the 70’s in here!
I’ll have to get a copy of the DVD and check.
All that matters to me is that Fantasia is completely unavailable in its original version. Unless, by some sort of miracle, we find a pre-1969 print.
Although… will the final restoration be distributed at all? Or is it just for archival purposes?
You can rely on me. I may need input here and there, but I won’t let you down. Hopefully. Anyway I want to see this film restored to its original glory as much as you do!
(There’s also the small detail that the original book was written in my home country, but whatever.)
Are we still going ahead with this or not?

for some reason the colors here are better looking to my eyes.
I’ll say! It actually looks like a Technicolor film!
My God, the Sword in the Stone BD is criminally overrated!!
Has… has Disney got us in some sort of hypnotic trance through some real life version of the Archangel Network? Who can look at either of those transfers and think “Yeah, that’s ok, put it through!” …mind you, that’d explain why Escape from Tomorrow is so mixed up.
Ah, that’s pedantry for you.
You are a marvel, Doc! Would you be able to recover colour from a nitrate yellowed film too?
No, $550 isn’t so astronomical. Not like Snow White where it’s $3,500!
This is uncanny!
Well I’d love to see what the screener looks like, if it’s any different.
Yes, it is.
Did they all get full screen then?
Half Blood Prince was released in full screen?!
Have you tried?
Well, that’s just uncanny!
- This is worthy of a Nobel Prize. Not joking, millions could benefit from this technology.
Yes! Let’s call the Nobel estate and tell them we have a new candidate!
It’s… not mine. I have to borrow someone else’s machine to use it. I’d… rather not talk about it, actually.
That is true. Besides, if my suggestion’s correct, why would they need it on in daylight?
Me too, come to that… for me, it’s either the original version or nothing!
…would you be willing to donate?
