Soooo basically take out everything Star Wars-related and then add a crawl. Maybe we can replace the space battle with scenes from Red Tails. lol *idea for the ‘Ridiculous’ cut.

I believe we are seeing the effects of a few too many reviews likening the new Vader scene to a “scene out of a horror movie”

I guess it may have been too much for some people, but for the vast majority…

Other idea: why not adding this to the end of a heavily fanedited ROTS version? Or with ROTS material used as flashbacks ?

Soooooo basically everything about it sucks (including Vader in his prime)… but adding references to the prequels OR actual prequel footage will make it better? lol yikes.

I loved RO… the only cringe-worthy moment IMO was when that slime monster came out. Other than getting rid of that thing, I’d say we wait for some of the deleted/unused footage, as I believe there will be a lot - then hopefully, we can really piece together some new versions… OR maybe just add in some ROTS footage 😉

I can’t wait for the blu ray release of Rogue One. I’m sure there will be TONS of awesome time-stamped deleted scenes for us to NOT use in fan-edits. 😕

I feel like this would be a futile ‘fix’… In RO, There was no way for Vader to know for sure which ship received the transmissions (for all he knows, they ALL could’ve gotten it), but after watching the Tantive escape so frantically/deperately, it makes sense he’d assume that was the ship that received them. This would explain the line when he catches up to them in ANH.

Moving on, does anybody else feel like a movie in between ROTS and RO would be a great spot on the timeline for a Vader movie? Possibly show him hunting down the last of the Jedi (alla The Force Unleashed) - also a good opportunity to bring back Palpatine for continuity. I quite like that RO didn’t show the Emperor, as I feel it preserves his ambiguity in ANH… but the Vader movie as a standalone would certainly need some direct “Imperial guidance” at some point for sure. This is the only spot on the timeline I can think of to make a Vader movie happen and it could be great.

Lastly, and I’m 3/4 joking when I say this… Vader’s servant on Mustafar… Secret Apprentice Snoke?? lol

I actually really like this scene… i think it’s symbolic how it’s the only time we see light shining directly on Kylo’s face in a close-up. I find it almost representative of the “pull of the light” …as he fights to suppress the feelings and memories that accompany walking into his father’s cockpit. Pretty powerful stuff in my opinion…

I reeally enjoyed this edit. Some brief feedback: First thought is the edit is a bit too dark - I can barely see anything in some parts. It just needs to be lightened up a bit. I like a lot of the cuts, especially the masked interrogation. The few seconds of the superimposed helmet can be tweaked a bit to make it look more real (lighting on the helmet, etc.) but overall really well executed. I’d love to see ‘Kylo searching the Falcon’ added to this edit too… I think it would add to the Kylo/Han connection. Lastly, the scene where the ground opens up between Kylo and Rey… Rey looks too small in this scene. Kylo looks twice her size as-is… if Rey can be enlarged a bit, I think it’ll look much more believable they are right next to eachother.
