R.I.P. Bob Welch
Time

I'm a HUGE Fleetwood Mac fan, and I am so saddened by this news!

Bob Welch, a guitarist who played with Fleetwood Mac before launching a solo career, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest, Nashville, Tennessee, police said Thursday. He was 66.   "Sentimental Lady" was such a huge radio hit back during "Star Wars" first run in 77'.. I miss those days, but hearing that song brings back some great feelings.  We will miss you Bob!

Saw it today...

Meh. It looks pretty and the acting is good but that's about it really.

Why didn't they use an older actor rather than What'shisface in obvious old man make-up??

Because what' shisface will play the lead in the sequel as an android (at the actors real age), and they just wanted to build up to it by keeping actor continuity?

News of the Apocalypse
Time

Here is a thread to post anything that might be related to our impending apocalyptic doom.

The long-dreaded "zombie apocalypse" has begun in Miami, where police shot a naked, mindless man who was literally feeding off the face of another naked man.

After being shot, the zombie continued to feed, requiring the police to shoot him a second time. CBS Miami reports:

"Miami police shot and killed a man on the MacArthur Causeway Saturday afternoon, and police sources told CBS4 they had no choice: the naked man they shot was trying to chew the face off another naked man, and refused to obey police orders to stop his grisly meal. ...Officers found one man gnawing on the face of another, in what one police source called the most gruesome thing he'd ever seen."

Mike Adams has written a full account of the "zombification of America" in today's feature story:

No more Martini.

Grrrrrrrrr.

Well I sure am glad that it's George Lazenby spearheading this cause, because we all know what a fan favorite he has always been.  *snicker*

But on a more serious note, I don't like this product placement decision at all.

Why can't he have two drinks in the story line, and they could work the beer into the story in some way as not to damage the developed and well loved cultured integrity of this iconic character?
