Is the theater where you saw Star Wars still standing ?
Time

I saw it during it's first run in 1977 at Menlo Park Cinema in Edison, NJ

The theater was torn down quite a few years ago. Saw Moonraker, and Star Trek the Motion Picture there too in 1979.  In 1984/85 I worked there making popcorn and taking tickets.

This large theatre sat at the corner of US Route 1 and Parsonage Road in Edison, outside the Menlo Park Mall. It was one of Northern New Jersey’s large, prestigious theatres that was later twinned in the mid-70s. It played exclusive engagements of both “Star Wars” and “The Empire Strikes Back”, in 70mm.

It was demolished after Cineplex Odeon opened a 12-screen multiplex theatre in the newly rebuilt Menlo Park Mall around late 1991.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Oh how I did not enjoy this film.  I did like how it was moving along up until the Venice boat chase, but went down hill fast after that.  The effects were atrocious.  The Scottish disguise bit was so unlike the Indian Jones from the first two films. Turned into a joke, and some great character's are so under utilized.  Marcus was so kewl in the first movie, but here he is just way too goofy.  *frown*

Too disappointed to rate this one.

The Robe (1953)

Richard Burton as a Roman who had gambled at the base of the cross during the crucifixion of Jesus, and had won Christ's robe that had fallen to the ground. The Robe is now cursed and slowly drives Richard Burton nuts.

Not as good as other biblical epics of the 1950's.

Note: Historically important as the first CinemaScope feature film.

Here is a "Star Wars" related news story I found on CNN this morning.

"Fans of the late-1970s "Star Wars" movies probably know that Luke Skywalker, a reluctant hero battling his way through the film's evil Galactic Empire, was raised on the windswept plains of Tatooine, a desert wasteland planet located on the outer rim of director/writer George Lucas’ fictional galaxy."

"The Exorcist" and "Legion", The Screenplays (1998)

EXORCIST [THE] & LEGION - Screenplay by William Peter Blatty

1998 - Faber & Faber - ISBN 0-571-20015-X

This has the un-cut shooting script of "Legion" before the requested re-shoot. No Father Morning character and no exoticism.  It's very good in it's original form. A very good read, and  I recommend it to any Blatty fans out there.

From the book's back cover:

Here for the first time in print are Blatt's electrifying screenplays: The Exorcist, directed by William Friedkin in 1973, and for witch Blatty won an Academy Award; and Legion, subsequently filmed as The Exorcist III. Included are the full texts of The Exorcists legendary "Lost Scenes" and excised dialogue, plus the controversial climax Blatty intended for his extraordinary sequel.
