I know a lot of people are turned off by the Moon Hoax subject, but I found this video most fascinating. I am just sharing it here because I know there are a lot of Kubrick fans, and some of them might be amused or titillated by this stuff.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
The bridge of the USS Bon Homme Richard, January 1964. Just months later, the guy on the right
would guide his ship into the Tonkin Gulf, and the young man on the left would begin a remarkable
transformation into a brooding rock god.
I saw The Matrix 70mm print on an IMAX screen (San Francisco). It was great, but in no way filled the screen. What size format was Barry Lyndon in?

How are they going to make this work? IMAX letterboxed 2.35 Dark Knight style, or a blowup to fill the 1.44 screen?
This will be interesting to say the least.
Instead of an undoubtedly pristine 1080p conversion, would you like your next Raiders of the Lost Ark viewing to be in 70mm on an IMAX screen? So would I. Steven Spielberg is here to provide such a service, with ScreenCrush telling us the director has personally supervised such a presentation for Dr. Jones’ inaugural screen adventure, which will run from September 7th toSeptember 13th. Or, three-and-a-half weeks from now.
"Mr. Spielberg, who with the sound designer Ben Burtt supervised the conversion of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” to Imax, said that no special effects or other visual elements of the film were changed. The audio, he said, had been enhanced for surround sound: “When the boulder is rolling, chasing Indy through the cave, you really feel the boulder in your stomach, the way you do when a marching band passes by, and you’re standing right next to it.”
Name three films you would want to see given an IMAX upgrade.
I ask that you list only 3, so I get a better idea of each of your individual movie tastes.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Dances With Wolves

This will beat the pants off all those barely better than a home video projector theater screenings Fathom Events regularly rips people off with.
One week only! I'll be there for sure.
Ron Palillo, best known for his role as Arnold Horshack on the 1970s TV sitcom, has died, the Palm Beach Post reports. He was 63.
I very much hope we get the back story to the unused scores and cues in the liner notes. I would love to know what episodes they are from, and what the reason was to just re-use past music in it's place. Very Very excited about this set, and glad to see a fellow board member involved as the music editor for the project.

Well Happy Happy fellow LEO!
This preservation should be out next month, but...
I now see that the information page has been removed from the Caped Wonder website! Is this project dead?

I'm 46 today.
Neil S. Bulk is the music editor! He helped me out when I was trying to re-sequence and re-edit the James Bond soundtracks in "As heard in Film" order.
This set should be top notch as far as content in it's proper order.
Can't wait!
I MUST have this!
I still enjoy playing this old windows 98 game. Someone recently converted it into a playable executable for windows Vista/7, so no compatibility issues have come up yet.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning composer who imbued his movie and Broadway scores with pizazz and panache and often found his songs in the upper reaches of the pop charts, died on Monday in Los Angeles. He was 68 and lived in New York.
He was the composer of the 10th James Bond movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’.
I enjoy my Bond lasers as well. Something about the color tones for sure.

Well if they have to be true to the comics I vote this one:
"V: The Final Battle"
What happened to the fantastic allegory of the original? It starts off not that bad, but quickly turned into a mess. The romance between the two main resistance characters just seemed forced and out of the blue. Just a bunch of low budget shock/horror ploys, and weak action scenes.
