24-hour cable news channels do this ALLLL the time. It's an old trick. Frame it as a question and you can suddenly make all kinds of inflammatory statements on television without taking responsibility for them. "We're not suggesting Obama is a Muslim, we're only asking people if they think he is."

I'm not saying that was your intent, but merely pointing out that it was framed as a question doesn't change anything.

Yes, I am asking a question. I still did not make the original video that points out that the map in DKR is connected to the shooting. A NEWS station DOES make the reports they broadcast themselves.  I feel that your point is irrelevant in this situation.

I've often thought realizing that one was taken in by a ridiculous hoax would encourage one to be a more critical thinker. Never cease to be amazed at how wrong I am.

Look. I am not saying that the reference it truly connected, but I am interested in the connections people are making. That people are making these videos is a fact. I am not making these claims, but look how a movie has some people going to great lengths to draw connections. This is a examination of that effect on people only. I am not asking anyone to buy into the connections, but for them to see how a major motion picture is being used in connection to a media event.

there is a HUGE difference.   Yet, I will admit that I was truly questioning the connection about the father banking scandal connection, but I dug into the sources and found it was being reported as a hoax by reliable sources.

OK that Sandy Hook map in DKR reference is getting much stranger...

FANTASTIC and so FUNNY! I was cracking up the entire film. I posted that I saw this on a plane a bit over a week ago, and that I liked it.

Thanks to Zombie84's comment, I ran out and got the Blu-ray as soon as I returned home. Much much better on a 50" plasma wit DTS theater sound system. Now I am ordering all the lead up films that I did not own on Blu-ray as well. A move has not had me this charged up in a long time.

Found out 2 relatives of ours died, and had to watch coverage of nutcase murdering 20 kids about the age of my niece, just a week before Christmas.  This has not been fun.

Well as if all that wasn't enough, my dog got sick last night.  Real sick.   She couldn't move.   She is very old and we thought she was going to die last night.   She is doing a little better now.  We figure she had some sort of stroke last night.   Due to her age, and the fact that there is probably nothing the vets can do, and the fact that she is improving little, we aren't going to do anything other that try to keep her comfortable.     Don't know how much longer she has, but it probably won't be long.   : (

Please believe me when I say that I am very sorry you have to deal with this.  I am a pet lover (I have 2 dogs and a cat living with me at this time) and have had to deal with the worsening health conditions and loss of my beloved animals in the past.  My prayers are that you find strength at this time and peace with this situation in the future.

It has indeed.  I can admit when I have been suckered and acted foolish for taking such news as fact.  I think a lot of people who report on conspiracy theories truly want to help other people, but the ones who create them are just scum bags.

I believe in God (and the Big Bang), but I don't believe in the creation theories put forth about fossils being hidden by God just to trick us and test our faith. That is very strange to me.

This topic was about the strange coincidences someone found in the Batman DKR film.  It was strange that the shooter's fathers where also both set to testify before the U.S. congress in the exact same major banking scandal. Some people feel that there is no such thing as coincidences. It was never meant to quantify the loss people have felt, or the emotional impact of the tragedy.  I have no problem with the thread becoming a gun control debate, but I want to state for the record, that it was not my intention.  

My reaction to the event is to ask what is going on here. The whole story is just too nuts for me to say something like "Oh, a nut shot up a school, and we may never know what the motive is. Now I must return to my shopping and let others deal with it"  I have questions about what is driving people to do such horrible things that become volatile debate and potential political and constitutional changes. The whole thing with the bizarre connections with both fathers of the shooters in "Aurora" and Sandy Hook incidents being set to testify in front the US congress in a major banking scandal just makes it so much more questionable to me.  But what does Hollywood have to do with the banking industry anyway?  *rolls eyes*

Nobody rakes over and stamps these sort of scenarios over the amount of children killed everyday by cars because people like cars and each death is a local issue.

Have a much smaller number of children killed in one place by an ill person with a gun and it's a media circus that anyone with an internet connection can join in with.

Thank You!  Why did I need to be exposed to this news story?  If the events or outcome of these shootings would have had anything personally to do with me or my family I would have been contacted in a very personal manner.  The way this is playing out in the media smells of mass trauma based mind control tactics.  As people are being dragged into these emotional events (that have nothing directly related to them personally) the media is conditioning the viewers with psychological anchors and triggers.  They may just be using these events to manufacture consent for an agenda.
