Anyways the menu looks great for a fan made project... but the professionally created retail menus look even better.

Does anyone know of any software that will allow me to take the .vob menus from the retail dvds and rework them as a proof of a concept to match my own (our own) specifications?

If I need to photoshop every frame, so be it, but I don't know any software that will allow me to insert frames.

1. The effects in the PT are more complex than the OT. You think Coruscant could be created using models? I'm skeptical.

2. We all know ol' Georgie is obessed with CG... and quite a few effects are simply not up to snuff. But... what if the effects did look 100% realistic... would the PT end up finding something new to bash the films about?

I'm a borderline basher/liker... the PT has some clever ideas and an amazing look but it just doesn't feel like Star Wars to me. That's my main concern with the prequels, it has never been about the effects.

So will you go guys be using the retail DVD menus in future productions?

They look better than any fan made menu ever could, the only problem I've found is 2 chapters need excising, and 7 (arguably 10) chapters need video replacements.

Small correction, the Original Opening crawl is in surprisingly good quality.

I was also surprised by how fast the text comes up... the word "Star Wars" hasn't even left the screen yet!

The clones concept (aging and young Boba Fett) is rather clever.
The podrace is an impressive feat and largely entertaining (regardless of the outcome)
Lightsaber duel in Episode 1 is unrivaled (although too short).
Anakin being the sweetest boy in the galaxy an interesting concept.
Padme is hot (although it boggles the mind how two beautiful people like Anakin and Padme created two ugly kids like Luke and Leia)

The Emperor's Hitler like rise to power and manipulation is ingenious.

This is one the worst threads I've seen on this board.

1. The original poster messes up 3 links beyond all recognition.
2. Corrected link has no point to it.
