I got a Chinese bootleg of AOTC a few months after it came out on a region coded DVD. The quality was pretty good (DVD quality I'm pretty sure) and I definitely don't remember the "I'm a Jedi, I know I'm better than this!" thing, so I'll try and pick it up in a week or so.

The 20th Century Fox logo on the Aliens DVD looks pretty much the same to me. I don't think anyone would notice or care.

2 things:

1. I know you've stated that the retail DVD's have flaws etc, but will you be using them as a reference for quality?

2. Everyone wants the best quality video possible. I may be wrong but the analog source of the two different laserdisc should be minimally different quality wise. Would it be possible to put the DE and Faces source video on top of eachother at 50% opacity to get technically double the resolution? Or am I confused?

Listen, I'm not loyal to one site or another. Both sites serve different purposes for me, and I like reading the responses on both forums.

Will you be hardcoding the subs onto the picture? If so what font are you going to use?
