If the Jedi are being portrayed as genuine good guys, then they should have a multitude of different colours. Each Jedi's sabre should be a slightly different hue, taking in any shade of blue and green or even a wider spectrum — the former is probably easier on the eyes lol. Needless to say, this would take a lot more work than option #1, but could look very cool. Similarly, the Sith that we see can have different shades of red — varying from pink to purple to orange — assuming that we see Siths other than Vader or Maul using their sabres.

I made a concept of several different saber colours, everybody shot it down.

More crazy than flying through the air in a nuked fridge, monkeys helping attack russians, or mayan temples transforming into alien saucer ships?

Or falling out of an airplane in a life raft and landing on the ground safely and go over a giant cliff, or a mine car as a roller coaster that jumps broken sections of track, or a monkey that speaks English, or a boat that doesn't sink while it's being torn to pieces by a giant screw, or a gargantuan bolder that rolls along tree roots, or an airplane that drives through a tunnel after after having it's wings torn off in flight, or riding the outside of a submarine for miles?

Actually you could see land in that scene. They could have easily been nearing the port.

I thought this was the ESB:R thread not some kind of Spanish Inquisition.

My first colour correction in a while. This shot bugged the hell out of me, so I had to do some work. There was no rotoscoping to do this either.

Original Trilogy FTW!!!

*Thumbs Up*

Very nice. How did you do it?

That image is several adjustment layers stuck together. I even added a black and white layer of the original image to bring in more detail. It took a while, but it was really fun!!! I want to do a shot that has more orange, but this was a good test for me, because of the skin tones being as orange as the sand.

Excellent work ESF. More than most PT colour corrections I've seen, that one really makes it look like it was shot in the 1970s, which look I think I'd want to see in a PT edit. I might want the sky to stand out a little more, otherwise it's spot-on.

Thanks!!!

It does look a lot like tatooine now, but is that a good thing? I am planning on doing work to where it will be a darker planet, because I think we have quite enough bright deserts in the series. I really like what Angel did,

it is by no means retro, but it gives you more than the basic Tunisia look. It stands out in the saga. George likes keeping things basic in his saga, Forests, tundras, and deserts. This would be a new world. My problem with the original image is how washed in orange it is. I highly doubt it was that orange in the raw work. I have no idea what Ady will do with AOTC, but I am sure it will not be orange.

I hate to confirm what BnB said about zooming, but it is correct that when you zoom in on a 3D image, the "closer" elements do not move spatially against the "further away" elements.  The reason is simple-- your position behind the camera has not changed.

However, if you are physically moving towards the 3D image, the spatial elements do indeed change, because there is no actual zoom taking place.

That said, I totally disagree with BnB's attitude and position.  That "giant fin" clip looks dynamic and interesting, and I think that such a change would be a welcome addition.  Let's just not call it a "zoom" but simply a "moving camera shot."

Also, BnB's position about "fog" increasing as the distance down the shaft increases is equally incorrect.  Ady is right.  That is nothing more than light bleed, which is quite simply, a natural limitation to human vision.  The further away something is, the more difficult it becomes to pick out fine details.

And actually moving looks more realistic than zooming. I like the sense of moving forward.

I'm sure he knew you lived on Earth.   I think he was asking you to be a little more specific than that.

Eyeshotfirst, I'd urge extreme caution when you generalize and say most people of a group are something.  It can get you into trouble.

Actually, I feel safer talking about religion than I did when I bashed South Park.

Hey! Now this is an aswer to all who wanted a reflection to this glass.( a more defined reflection)

Im not so sure about the new sky it have to be more bright but at least the background buildings are gone for sure!

Reminds me what darth editous did with the bespin shaft matte.

Anything that brakes the matte as matte and gives foreground midground background elements are welcome!

Keep it up :D

Spot the model differences.

-Angel

Yes, the top model is much more boxy. The satellite dish is much different as well. There are several differences, aesthetically. I believe the perspective is off slightly.

The lighting on the top image is off as well.

Well Ferris, I didn't intend that, and I hope my first post reflects that intention of mine. Pat Robertson doesn't taint my view of Christianity or believers in general - my problem with him is solely with him and the kooky things he says every now and then.

The vast majority of Christians I know are good and decent people, EyeShotFirst. Where do you live that you run into so many religious nutcases?

Earth.
