Okay here is a VERY rough edit of what could be in the scene. Included is some audio,  then while the probot exits to the left of the screen we can see the smoking ruins of Echo Station 38 (not included in my rough edit) in the upper left.

Be gentle with your comments on my edit, its my first....awww. Finally not an edit virgin...I feel so used.

I hope this link works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QvnEfs-7p4

It's actually not a bad idea... then again wouldn't station 38 check in prior to being blasted by a probe droid? Also the comm telemetry is from the probe droid's transmission of information in it's coded robot speak. It's not a recording of audible sound from the probe and it's immediate surroundings.

Ever since the first time I saw Empire Strikes Back, I have always and will always say, the probe droid sounds like it is saying "Imperial Assistance."

Darth Maul was the only good thing about TPM. The way he looks should not be changed IMHO.

What exactly was good on him? what was his purpose? Or maybe it had in his face a big word "COOL FACTOR"

-Angel

As people already call him Darth Timefiller he doesnt have a purpose other than looking cool with double bladed lightsaber. They should have used him all the way through the prequel imho. Through him they could have explain who the sith were and what they were all about. Palpatine couldnt of been used for this as he was working in the shadows as it were.

I still love the idea of getting rid of the yellow eyes except Darth Sidious. He the symbol of evil. Anakin was a gimmick to say hey look im evil now. Dooku never had yellow eyes despite the fact he was a "Sith". Darth Maul looks fine with yellow eyes due to the design of his character. Angel has proved that Darth Maul without yellow eyes can be just as good if not better. Be rid of the yellow eyes i say! haha

That's a lot of work for the sake of working.

Why does Mr. Bean fall from the sky?
Time

Moth3r said:

My uncle used to find Mr Bean offensive, because he thought it was making fun of people with learning difficulties.

What a twat.

Wow, I have never heard anybody describe Mr. Bean in that way. People (mostly women) usually say they don't like Mr. Bean because he acts silly. My mother wouldn't let me watch The Three Stooges and Mr. Bean, because of how silly they were, but my dad would let me watch them and Mr. Bean all of the time. She had no problem with Monty Python, because it was witty, but I think all comedy needs a degree of wit. Rowan Atkinson does bring wit to the Bean series. He was more of a cartoon of his former self in the 97 film, but the series had some fresh humor. I never saw him as having learning difficulties, I always just saw him as a selfish/obnoxious kid in a 35 year old man's body.

Only major problem i have with ESB is when Han suddenly decides to walk out to (as far as he know) a cave inside an asteroid in OUTER SPACE, in a vaccuum, with nothing but a breathing mask, oh and gravity on the asteroid is perfect as well. At least inside the ship they have the excuse of artificial gravity. But then again there's not much one can do to that scene.

I don't see how that can bother you, when you can hear explosions in space, see flames, have an ape man doggy who makes vocalizations that sound exactly the same, and people can understand him.

All that, and you are worried about the gravity inside a space slug. At this point you just have to bite your lip and think "It's just a movie."

Why does Mr. Bean fall from the sky?

I'm going to be boring, and quote Wikipedia:

At the beginning of episode two onwards, Mr. Bean falls from the sky in a beam of light, accompanied by a choir singing Ecce homo qui est faba ("Behold the man who is a bean "). These opening sequences were initially in black and white in episodes 2 and 3, and were intended by the producers to show his status as an "ordinary man cast into the spotlight". However, later episodes showed Mr. Bean dropping from the night sky in a deserted London street, against the backdrop of St. Paul's Cathedral suggesting Bean is an alien. Atkinson himself has acknowledged that Bean "has a slightly alien aspect to him"; in the animated series, he was actually shown to be an alien.

It explains a lot. I also thought he might have been probed by aliens, which might explain why electronics don't get along with him.

Why does Mr. Bean fall from the sky?
Time

I have been a fan of the show since I was a kid. I always loved the episode where Mr. Bean is in the church and he keeps falling asleep, trying to eat candy, singing badly. I have always pondered why exactly he falls from the sky.

In my youth I thought it was because he was an angel, but now as an adult, I know that can't be true. Mr. Bean is an asshole to people. He does try to cheer up the occasional child, but he usually does things to help his own situation, so he can't be an angel.

At this point in my life, I think he is an alien. Yep, the beam of light is a way of explaining it.

Another part of me thinks he was abducted by aliens only to be rejected instantly. He doesn't exactly have a soft landing on the cobblestone.

What do you think?

For me, it depends on the system. Upstairs, I'd probably listen with 2 channel PCM and downstairs, 6 channel DD stereo. Do whatever sounds good or that you prefer, I say. For something like this, I'd be listening with headphones, at least the first time.

Good headphones always bring out the best, and the worst in a recording. I actually prefer headphones, even though I do have good stereo equipment.

I want to make Anakin Skywalker a like-able character. As impossible as that may seem, I think I can do it.

I don't think it will be that hard, as long as you take absolutely no cues from the PT when designing his character. If you succeed in making him someone the audience can relate to, you will easily achieve the following:

- His downfall will be more tragic (perhaps take ideas from ancient tragedies, Shakespearean tragedies, etc.)

- Watching Luke grow up and edge nearer to the dark side, seeing how he might follow his father's fate, will have more of an impact on the audience

- The audience might actually believe Obi-Wan when he says that Anakin was a 'good friend'. It seemed like Obi-Wan kind of hated Anakin in the PT

Unfortunately, this also creates problems. If you really want to emphasise the tragedy in Anakin's transformation to Darth Vader, it will be near impossible to conceal the fact that he is Luke's father. It depends how you view these novels; if you see them as true 'prequels' which assume that the reader already knows the story of the OT, there's no problem. However, if you see them as earlier episodes in a saga then critical plot details have to be kept secret.

His transformation is the most important thing I am fleshing out. I have been pondering the best way to do it for a few weeks, and I am getting very close. The transformation will be very tragic and as you say more Shakespearean.

I want to keep it as a mystery. I don't want to give away too much, but I think the transformation should take place earlier.

Last Man on Earth

So… here’re the questions.  You are one of three of the last men/women on Earth.

1. What two companions would you choose, assuming you could, to be stuck with?

I would chose a beautiful intellectual woman, and Neil deGrasse Tyson (Because, he is the coolest man in science, and he is very intelligent, and easy to learn from.) I will need him for option 3.

2. What two companions would fate stick you with, assuming you couldn't choose.

Probably Dane Cook and Johnny Knoxville, because my luck is soo bad, that I would be stuck with the 2 most annoying guys who ever existed.

3. If you went to bed tonight and woke up tomorrow to find yourself in this condition… what would you do?

I dunno, I would build. I would look for the beautiful intellectual woman, and rebuild a new civilization. Bring forth my knowledge of what went wrong with our civilization, and bring warning. Neil would bring forth his knowledge, and teach the small civilization. It could work.

Idea: for a 'Mass Effect: The Movie' edit...

If you're using the PC version of Mass Effect, use the program 'Fraps' to record everything on screen and all audio. You need to buy a licence in order to use it legitimately without it adding watermarks to your videos, but it's cheap and pretty worth it. I used it for recording in-game footage for a short film I had to make in university.

http://www.fraps.com/

yeah, not sure if im going to end up doing it this summer, but if I do i'm probably buy the PC version just to get better PQ and less hassle.

Either that or, youtube can be pretty good for some HD game footage. It is a newer game, so somebody could have them on there. There is a program that allows you to get youtube videos in HD, but I don't know if the rules would condone my suggestion, so I will leave it at that.

Well, I was a little late in getting it. The first CD I got was,

It was great back then, but I wanted all the music. So I went to a music store, and asked my mom to get the anthology. It sits on my shelf now, and it is in near perfect condition. I cherished it, and took great care of it.
