it had a nice editorial comparing the 3Dising of classic 2D films to Ted Turner scribbling pastel shades over monochrome classics

That's good.  That's pretty much exactly how I feel about it.

That's not the same. Ted Turner bought the films and changed them against the wishes of their owners. This is totally different--the owners are changing them on their own will.

Yeah, but I don't really care.  It wasn't shot that way, so I refuse to see it that way.  Even if a director chooses to colorize his own movie, as in your example, I'll never watch the colorized version, and I'll continue to wish it didn't exist, despite what the director says.

The same thing applies to 3D.

I still wouldn't have a problem with it if that was the case. It is the fact that each time Lazy Lucas and his goons make changes, they call it the definitive version and completely ignore all other versions. So 3D Star Wars will replace the SE and 2004 release as the hated version.

The Fanboys will say it is awesome though.

Were there ever any official motorised mouse droid toys made?

It would be relatively easy to do the old Batman telly show thing of filming one on a flat girder and tilting the image to match the lines of the matte.

I could actually see it being fairly easy to build one from scratch. Anybody with some RC car knowledge should be able to.

Dracula (1931)- The Transfusion Edit

You might try getting an older recording of Symphonie Fantastique - Hector Berlioz. It would work very well with the film. Many motifs from it were used in The Shining.

Then the beginning of this aria has a very dark mysterious vibe to it. I think it sounds close to what kind of soundtrack they would have used then.

I have loads of music to draw from, just ask what vibe you want, and I will be more than willing to supply.

How do you hear your fellow board members in your head?
Time

I dunno, it is mostly in my mind's voice, but some exceptions

Here is a list

TV's Frink - Professor Frink's voice from the show

ChainsawAsh - It was Fry in my earlier days on here, but now it's mostly my mind's voice

Adywan - His voice

Gaffer Tape - His Voice/ Though in the early daze, I thought you was a girl.

Angel - I know he is Greek, but I hear Indigo Montoya from Princess Bride in my head for some reason LOL.

PSYCHO_DAYV - Randy Savage

Other members - It really depends, but most of the time it is just my mind's voice.

It shows what kind of director George Lucas is.

Even the actors I would call greatest of the greats are written badly. Liam Neeson approaches Qui Gon like: "Well, this sucks, Oh well gotta get paid somehow."

As said before, Natalie Portman is very good, just not as the wooden Padme.

If you look at how George directs people, he is more concerned with what the shot is gonna look like. All in all, George has great ideas, and he is good with a camera, but when it comes to actors, he aint no Scorsese.

Releasing anything in 3D just makes me avoid watching the movie entirely. It shows how much attention has been put into the effects over the story. Avatar was basically a poorly told whacking contest to see who could throw the most shit into the audience as possible. It is a dated and tasteless form of technology. Since we basically see 3D in regular films with a special little thing called our minds, we don't need extra help. All I ever thought when I saw a 3D movie was, "Ow my eyes are giving me a headache."

Keep it in amusement parks, but keep it out of the theater and give films with a good story a chance again.
