JW is my favourite Star Wars composer!  Alongside Joel McNeely, anyways.

Gotta agree with that statement.

I like John Williams, he is a modern romantic composer, what more could a person ask for?

I do really like Joel McNeely as well. He took what Williams already gave us, and took it to another place. Much of the music on the SOTE soundtrack could have fit into the OT.

I wish I knew enough people to play a good game of baseball. I have a shit load of equipment to play, I just don't know anybody that plays baseball.

Really sucks.

Baseball is the hardest sport to play. Huge field, lots of equipment, needs at least 10 dudes to even play a pickup game on the sandlot.

And that is the big problem. I love baseball, it's probably the funnest sport ever, I just don't know 10 people who like to play. Most of my friends aren't really into sports.

I've been considering doing a mild edit of 2010 that brings it a bit more in line with 2001 - that is, get rid of any sound in space, slow down the pacing a little bit, maybe remove some of the political bullshit (which wasn't in the novel, IIRC), and get rid of a lot of shots that just scream "EIGHTIES!"

That would be cool. I thought about making a version that at least fixed the awful compositing. Kind of a shame that 2001, a movie 16 years older looks better. Of course it's reputation gave it the better transfer and restoration. I just can't do something like that with my computer. If you do, make an edit, I would love to see it.

What's your view on 2001? [if you've seen it]

I only saw 2010 recently and discovered that [at least] in my social circle people generally really enjoyed one or the other, but not both. I prefer 2010.

watched Roger Corman's galaxy of terror - it's craptastic.

Next I plan to see Roger Corman's Fantastic Four - as terrible as it looks i'm actually looking forward to it.

I think 2010 is the better science fiction film

2001 is the better overall film.

The problem most people have with 2010 is the fact that it isn't Kubrick, and doesn't try to be. The movie moves a lot faster for one thing.

Do you think it's necessary to emulate the "outline" look of the theatrical logo for the other titles, or not?  That was the whole reason I used the 1995 logos - I thought it would look weird without the classic outline to it.

Not really, I was trying to go along with the trailers looks. It doesn't seem that weird, at least to me. To each his own, I guess.

While I can agree with muddyknees' comment about how far this has been blown out of proportion, I thought it would be cool to see chainsaws idea with the classic logos, and it does look good. Several variations.

I thought about doing a Green logo version of Return of the Jedi, but figured the image was already big enough.

Empire and Jedi remind me of the early trailers.

+1

I really didn't like it the first time I saw it.  I think I was unprepared for the mood of the film.

Love it to pieces now.  In fact, I'd almost IGNORE someone who hadn't seen it.

P.S. Tricky out acts everyone in the cast.
Chris Tucker, you guys. CHRIS TUCKER. You can't tell me you enjoy him in that or any other movie.

Sorry, my high school years were spent at different friends houses watching Friday.
