Today was supposed to be my day to watch it, but my plans got pissed on. I'll have to wait another week before I can watch it.

Got lucky and got the chance to watch it. It looked beautiful, and the sabers haven't looked that good in a long time. Sail Barge assault sabers looked almost re-rotoscoped.

As I'm still planning out MY versions of the prequels in novel form, my plan has been from the beginning to have an ancient temple in the Valley of the Jedi, as a reference to my favorite Star Wars game. Luke's training on dagobah was so organic, and I think that should've translated into the prequels. Instead, we see the training relates more to the training of Ivan Drago in Rocky 4, all sterile and sciencey.

FINALLY got around to watching Empire Despecialized. I can finally retire my VHS of Empire. It was like it was when I was a kid, only in HD. Thank you so very much.
Now I gotta clear a day to watch Jedi.
Downloading as we speak. It'll be a while before I can watch it. I don't have a lot of free time to watch movies going to school. I still need to watch Empire.

You're right, it's pretty obvious they tried to see if that firecracker could pop twice. I did enjoy Predators though, admittedly though I'm one of the few who enjoyed Predator 2. I never really got into AvP flicks, probably because I have nothing for Aliens. Just never liked those movies.
I have a soft spot for Lethal Weapon era Danny Glover films.

I think he's saying that conventional beliefs hold that the original Predator is the best ever. Not saying that you can't have your opinion of course, but the original Predator is the highest rated of all the others on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.

I'm surprised at how little DVNR was used on the OT for the Blu Rays. Glad to see they allowed film grain.

I watched 2010 for the third time last night, and I gotta say, I like it loads more than 2001.
Roy Scheider was just such an amazingly natural actor. My only gripes with the film is: the voice overs and Jon Lithgow's extremely loud breathing during the expedition.
I gotta say slave 1 and the Star Destroyer looked amazing.

Someone pointed out the other day (sorry, I forgot who) that this is the only film in history that has this much fanbase hatred and venom. Lucas has once again broke new ground - he's actually managed to turn his own fanbase against itself.

Truth be told, if a proper release of the original Star Wars were released, I wouldn't rush out to get it. It's not fun anymore. It's become work to be a fan.

I've used a pair of Sennheiser like that model back when I was in the college radio station, but I felt the sound to be slightly lacking and they were freaking uncomfortable!
I just can't do earbuds. I use flac on my Sansa Clip+, so why sacrifice sound quality of headphones?
Thanks for the heads up. I've been wanting some good sennheiser headphones, you can't have a box of Telarc recordings and listen to them on bad equipment.

When I read what Ady asked yesterday, I didn't expect the answer he got.
That truly is amazing, no doubt it will be expensive as hell being autodesk, but it would definitely be worth it. Think of the applications, you could make a damn good movie in that.

Screencaps do not do your work justice. That video was amazing!!
Sabers look better on a homemade rotoscoped youtube video of kids than the 2004 dvds.
The blu-ray case makes them even better.
