G4 posts 'Attack of teh Show' online a week after broadcast, so sometime next week, the review will be on their site. Gore says GL is fan friendly because he allows the fan film thing to happen. (the fan film contest, etc) Gore then goes on to say that GL is basically no different then the fan editors at this point. Both sides playing in the same sandbox.

He said something else like fans are "arrogant" to tell Lucas what he can do with his films since he allows them to use his material to make fanfilms or whatever.

I mean, by that logic- I have never taken advantage of the "fanfilm" materials, so does that make me NOT arrogant to ask for the OOT? It's really ridiculous reasoning, and the guy seemed a bit flustered trying to come up with coherent justifications.

What is funny is the fact that I haven't watched Attack of the Show since G4 started it's slow decent into crap years ago, but when you said Chris Gore from Attack of the Show. I haven't watched it enough to know people's names,  but for some reason my douche radar knew exactly who it was.

I didn't know why I didn't like him until now. My early prejudices have now been justified.

EyeShotFirst, those look really nice. I wanted my own DeEd covers to look quite modern and unique but I'm really glad there will be a classic look alternative. May I ask what do you mean that you restored the old posters? Aren't those posters available in high def? Anyway, I sent you a PM.

It is true that they are available, but the colours aren't that great. The ESB is the best example of restoration because it has rich vibrant colours, and yoda isn't pasted on there.

I'm also curious as to what you have planned for the reverse side?

They are pretty simple. When I have the discs done, I'll give a preview.

Nice video. It has the same problem that ANH has. Terrible set sounds that are loud and not carefully done. Footsteps cracks and booms all over the place. :/

All the noise in that scene can be lessened. It's scenes like the Anchorhead scenes with Luke and Biggs that are the worst, because a lot of noise takes place during dialogue.

Do you think Tatooine could be entirely recut so that our first introduction to Anakin is the Podrace... i.e. Qui-Gon goes to Mos Eisley and ends up watching the Podrace and seeing Anakin win? Tatooine I think is one of the massive weaknesses of TPM; Could his Jedi mind trick on Watto be changed to work? (It is ridiculous that Republic credits aren't accepted; the Republic would surely of been a bit like America and it's dollar in that smaller countries many would accept the dollar as currency - especially gambling dens).

I do like the idea of Qui Gon seeing him as strong with the force for being the only human to win a podrace, instead of juiced up on midicholorions.

EyeShotFirst, that box would be sweet.  You have plans for actually making one?  would love to know how.

Unfortunately I won't be able to any time soon. I need to get a new printer, since mine is pretty much useless.

I will include a template and a readme that will show how to make the box for those who want to do their own.

Nice.. What is the exact source for this image?

I wish I knew.

And Tatooine should be mostly just sand dunes with the occassional desert plain and rock outcropping. But Geonosis looks like its clone. The PT was the main culprit.

Tatooine in ANH should stay the same, but ROTJ tatooine needs some help, it's just very boring.

Coming soon!!!

In a vein similar to Harmy's restorations I have restored the film posters to the best of my abilities. They may not be 100% accurate, but they are very pleasing to the eye. I did my own take of the Definitive laser disc box set, though it is still quite different. I'm almost done with the discs, so they will be uploaded sometime in the next few days or so.

All art and images are pre 1997 material to make things more legit. The only images on the back that are not from Harmy's preservation are promotional images and what not.

If there was ever an official release of the original theatrical versions on bluray, I'd love them to come out in a package exactly like that! Outstanding! Like a mini version of the LD set (ahh memories!).

That's the greatest compliment I've ever gotten!!

I've noticed in recent years that Return of the Jedi is very poor in iconic imagery. Star Wars and Empire had all these wonderful snapshot moments. The only ones in Jedi were recycled.

Star Wars and Empire used nature and made them alien. Deserts and Tundra are all over the world, but they made them work. They sold regular things as irregular things.

Jedi just doesn't sell the woods of California as very alien, simply because most people probably drive by woods very similar every day or live near woods like that.

So what can be done to Jedi to make it fresh and alien? One of the few solutions would be to turn the woods into a jungle, or change locations altogether.

or add mountains (image from MattePainting.Org)

Then the imperial fortress is just a damn box with a satellite dish over it. I think it should be more menacing.

Everything in Jedi is so phoned in. Jedi was just a case of what had been done in Star Wars only bigger and better. Aside from the swoop bike chase, there really wasn't any innovation. Everything was just so laid back.

I was in the 5th grade in class, and suddenly my teacher walked into the room and turned on the television. Everything stopped, the world was on pause. I didn't understand what was going on. I soon noticed a country that loved each other for a little while. Everyone was patriotic. Sad that a disaster has to happen for a nation to come together.

I will never forget, it was an event that changed everything.

God bless the men and women who lost their lives, and God bless their family and friends.

I don't always agree with this country, but I do agree with what it was built for.

Had something weird happen to me tonight.   I am 37 years old.   The photo in my Avatar was taken some years ago.   I went out to dinner with my parents tonight.   I ordered a drink.   The waitress carded me.     Is there anyone here  that would confuse someone who is 37, with someone who is less than 21?    Would you question that person in my avatar is over 21 years of age? I've aged since that photo!

My Mother worked at Wal-mart a year ago and said it was regulation that they card people who appear "Under 40" for alcohol, so it may be law at all establishments.

ChainsawASH did the 90 box set, so I've decided to tackle the 92 box set.

I will upload these after I am confident in their quality, and I am done with the Blu Ray sized covers I am doing for Harmy's edits.

The images I used are the highest quality I could manage. Painstaking hours in front of a computer searching for the highest of quality images. The fonts I used aren't exact, but they are very close.
