Yeah, that movie wasn't too good.

I'm guessing I'm in the minority in liking Temple of Doom?  Otherwise, I completely agree.

I too enjoyed Temple of Doom. And even the Back to the Future sequels.

I am proud to say the Temple Of Doom was my favorite.  I just liked Mola Ram. Kaliii Maaa Kali maaaa. The Indians liked it for Armish Puri.

A star wars mega set would be great if the extras were put together like the lord of the rings extended editions.  Seperate commentaries for all the different people who made the films.

Lucas on the other hand likes to talk about the detail they put into jango's suit in the attack of the clones commentary, lol.

When he used to say the sets and the effects were less important than the plot.

Watch the bonus disk that came with the Fifth Element Ultimate Edition. It is one of the most in-depth making ofs disks ever. They have several parts to it. The making of's max out at almost 2 hours maybe more. They are pretty great. They talk about from creation of the story down to the night it came out. They talked about making the madoshawans and the creation of different shots like Leeloo falling off of the building. They even have small interviews with the actors not many. But they have alot of information nonetheless.

George Lucas shouldn't be on the commentary for Empire or Jedi. especially Empire. He clearly does not like ESB and hated making it. Kershner doesn't even remember directing the film. His commentary on the ESB dvd is like he is watching it for the first time. I read that during the making of Empire and Jedi George Lucas was never seen and when he actually showed up he would look like "why the hell do I have to be here". Then when asked if he thought a shot was good he would say "well it's good enough" The sad thing is he started out a great film maker, then after Raiders of the lost Ark he thought people wanted a summer thrill ride. People didn't care about story and all they wanted was explosions and action. I get in the mood for movies like Independence Day once in a while but I just wish directors would think about why they got into film making. It is the same with music. Look at Metallica (the most talked about band of all time) They started out wanting to melt faces, change music, and have a damn good time. Then in about 1990 they released the black album (to some it was a bad album, to me their last good album) They saw that the music they were making was dead and thought lets follow the trend so they released LOAD and after that each album got worse. The same thing with film making. Film makers look at every film in the box office to use as an example for their films.

Indy BluRay pushed off til 2010, what does that mean for SW?

I don't know why they didn't do the special editions in the full resolution of the negatives? They could have then just compressed it to fit a dvd then as home video mediums come and go gradually make each release less compressed. It would have saved work and MADE ALOT OF PEOPLE HAPPY. George is supposed to be some genius a true pioneer of film quality yet he thinks DVD is as good as video will ever get. or as gary kurtz explained George's attitude towards film "Good Enough" GEORGE THIS ISN'T A FIFTH GRADE SCIENCE PROJECT. It is something many people enjoy. Hell, we built you ranch show some courtesy and give us a high quality version of those wonderful films that made you a household name instead of "that guy who directed American Graffiti"

The Naboo Starfighter matches the technological stylings of all the other Naboo ships and speeders so I don't have a serious problem with them, though I might take down the colour a little (and have different colours for different squadrons, as I suggested earlier).

If they were in line with the same sort of colours as the astromech droids that would be fine.

But I fully behind the idea of slick Y-Wings, X-Wings etc being Republic ships it makes sense that the Rebels in the OT are trying to maintain and enhance old ships rather than building new ones.

It would also make sense to have some of the Rebel ships on the Separatists side too.

Thank you!!!!!

Well look at it this way, It is an idea. An idea does not mean that all fan edits will have that idea set in stone. Like Ady is going to kill Lando in ROTJ:R alot of people were against the idea including myself but after all it is Ady's re-imagining of the star wars saga and nothing we say is going to change it. A fan edit is usually what the fan editor wants. I for one don't have the time to make a fan edit so I am sticking to suggestions. Any suggestion is encouraged. Who knows what the ships will look like in Adywan's edit? Whatever he decides to do I will respect his decision because he and all fan editors take the time out of their busy lives to work on projects of such scale. I have attempted a fan edit but I do not have the patience and the tenacity for such work, so I scrapped all work LOL. Maybe somebody will see one of these suggestions and decide "Hey that is a good idea, I might try that." But don't take a suggestion as written law for all fan edits. Plus this is 'The Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread', so no idea is a bad idea.
