SAVE LANDO!!!!
Time
adywan said:

Ok i have to put an end to this. I though all this would have died out ages ago.

Your so gullible. lol. Killing Lando was never going to be part of my edit, but was being considered as a special feature only. Only the PT will be getting ripped apart. There will be some changes in jedi but none will be drastic in a way that will change the story. Yes there will be a new ending but that's being kept a secret. The Lando thing came about because so many people kept asking about the ending so i made one up.

Don't hate me :)

Just when I was getting to like that idea LOL.

Don't ya just hate the new cgi yoda and the TPM menace puppet yoda. I have an idea. Cant we do a new model and skin it with Empire Strikes Back yoda or a really good yoda puppet. It shouldnt be too hard.

Then use the yoda that we all love

I mean come on that thing in the PT looks like shit. Nothing like classic yoda. It can be done. We just need the proper tools

I wish I had this guys puppet LOL

Yes it is stupid.

I've never heard it. Does anyone think it sounds sufficiantly John Wlilliams-ish to be used convincingly in an edit?

It sounds like the empire strikes back as far as feel. It even uses several motifs from the empire strikes back seeing as it is the story prior to jabba the hutt han rescue. The Battle of Gall would work well in AOTC OR ROTS.

@Ripplin - I'm fairly certain that the music was done for the video game and not the book, so it's not *that* weird - there are a lot of video game soundtracks out there.

@Darthmunky - he's not talking about audio books, it's the score for the video game.

Only 2 songs from the books soundtrack are on the PC and N64 game. So it was made for the book. The rest of the songs from the game are The Empire and A New Hope soundtracks. So the game only gives a small taste of what is in the books soundtrack

If GL made the PT first
Time

I often poder that question myself. Yes, sometimes I think "Why did he not make them first?" but after all, I don't hate the way things are. It would be easier if A New Hope was Episode I. We didn't really need to see how that shit went down. We bounced like a dog staring at a beggin strip in his owners hand. The whole problem with Star Wars is, we get things explained to us. Blader Runner was the weirdest movie when I first saw it. There were many questions I asked myself. I watched it a few times then understood it in the end. Star Wars would have been so much better if things weren't explained. It isn't like it is a movie you have to pay attention to. You know what is going on in A New Hope. Then you get to the prequels and you are spoonfed every single little detail. It takes the fantasy out of it when someone has to explain it. I would rather remain ignorant to those little details then have them shoved in my face like "this is who/what/where it is" So the films were all quite good. Just episodes I-III had the 'Fantasy' aspect removed. Yes they were epic but you knew everything. We are not all that dumb, though don't get me wrong I had a girlfriend that was. It is just a matter of paying attention or not. And if you are at the theater you are forced to pay attention. My eyes are wide open George Lucas. I need not know who he/her is or what this/that is. Those little things distract from the main characters. All we need to know is

1. Who the Hero/Leading Characters are

2. Who the bad guys are.

3. Why they are fighting

Presto that is it. It goes back to the days of the stage. When all we had was human beings and a few props. We don't need anything else to be entertained. Not saying avoid the special effects. Just focus on characters who are important. Other characters can just stay in the background. Instead every character in the prequels seem to have a significant story that is explained in the film. Boba Fett would have been way cooler if he was just that guy who popped up in Empire Strikes Back who said 4 lines. Instead we are given a young child who looses his daddy and is sad. It is so much better to just wonder who that guy is than actually know. So the prequels werent bad stories. They werent executed as written.

Info: ESB extra Track score
Time
adywan said:

you seem to be constantly making new thread with these soundtracks but where are the links? And being crappy quality has nothing to do with a track being live. i have many live recordings of music that are actually better quality than the studio versions. Are you sure you are not just going through youtube and taking bits of music from there and taking credit for it? a little info about your sources etc would go a long way

Agreed to the fullest. I own several operas that were recorded live and they sound really great. I like to be able to hear the breathing of the players. John Williams recorded all of the star wars music as if he were live. Same exact way except there weren't applause.

Or what Uhura did in Star Trek V.

That is what I was thinking of. Add motion blur effects to her to make her appear as a dancing siren. Make her seem as though twileks have the power of seduction. Almost as if seduction was a force power. Which basing it off of Uhura we take out the overly laiden sexual references. Of course nothing is more sexual than being put to death in a transvestial reproductive organ in the ground.

Is trowing copper a saying or is that your favorite +LIVE+ album? I am not being a jerk I am just curious.

**facepalm** yes its a +Live+ reference.  Though I think Secret Samadhi was better.  It was all downhill from there.  Its a lame net name I've had since the mid 90's.

LOL. Live doesnt have the fire they used to have. I loved throwing copper and the demos from it. Secret Samadhi was a great album too. Throwing Copper is what got me started lol

Just make the music slow and jazzy. I listen to a lot of electronic music  that would fit with max reebo. And just make Oola's dance kind of slow and effected with motion blur as if she was some kind of dancing siren. Then Jabba drops her ass in the rancor pit. That scene can be saved by focusing on Oola. Some other music would be indian belly dancer music with electronic instruments to fit with that fecking blue ephelant.

For adywan's revisited.

Still working on Episode VI. Haven't even started on I, II and III

I will probably use these sweet babies. They look amazing and I am glad you used green for ROTJ. Jedi always felt like the green film to me. (Maybe because of lukes saber LOL) All of these covers everyone is making look better than the crappy dvd covers lucas gave us. He could have atleast used Drew Struzans posters seeing as he made posters for the whole saga

Will Smith always seems to play these "Down on their luck" characters. I am Legend is a big example of this. Is this mine fighting to get an oscar? He has one moment in all of his movies from 03-present were he yell's then cries. It is a good turn from his funny movies but movie after movie of these oscar moments I kind of miss the light-rap kid friendly fresh prince Will Smith. Every actor goes through a moment in their life were they take on roles of the same flavor. Harisson Ford went through the "I want my family" movies. They were good movies but they got kind of SOS. Will Smith will probably quit doing movies like this when he is 50 but maybe not "look at Denzel Washington"

I just can't understand how the cg in Jurassic Park looks so real when it's about 16 years old. By the time Jurassic Park 3 came out, the cg looked fake again.

All cg these days has this shiny, untangible feeling to it, the only exception being Gollum in LOTR which was awesome. In comparison to Gollum, Yoda is a joke.

Edit: MOST cg* Not lumping Transformers in the same category Angel ;)

I mainly mean cg creatures, not robots.

Actually they were going to use stop motion animation. But the result we got was with the TREX. Animatronics mixed with cgi. The head was built on set. They did such a good job mixing textures from the models they used and com positing them on cgi models it was pure genius. They did that when it had never been done before. My kids will believe the dinosaurs are real. And I will give the Will Ferrel answer. They got real dinosaurs to make it.
