I have good news. Recently, w/ the source coming from FaceBook, Adywan announced that starting on September 14th, work on Revisited will continue.
He can do what he wants to do, that’s fine by me.

Do you think when Adywan has a chance to return, when he is financially stable, do you think he will keep the same 20th Century Fox & LucasFilm Limited Intros from ESB:R? Or, will he change it 20th Century Studios…
I understand I said this before but, will ANH:R (HD) have a-lot of the original aspects that we saw in ANH:R (SD)?

I don’t see a way of fitting everything together, but how do you imagine it?
Well, it’s not simple but, I think I know of a way to make it work.
The Battle of Yavin would serve as the actual finale, there-by overriding the Battle of Endor.
The Rebellion most-likely stays on Yavin IV, in order for the finale to fit in. Han Solo’s
freezing in carbonite, isn’t fully decided. Somewhere, the training of Luke by Yoda would fit in
sometime after leaving the Death Star. Luke most-likely won’t loose his father’s lightsaber.
Do note that, this fan-edit is not intended to fit into the Canon Skywalker Saga Timeline.

I didn’t do those, I sourced those from Bing.
ROTJ was on TV the other night and I needed a SW fix, so I watched a little. But I had to shut it off during Jabba’s palace scene (just before the @#$%ing musical number) because Adywan’s will be so much better I just couldn’t take it.
And I still need my fix!!! Guess it’s SW:R and ESB:R and a bottle of rum tonight!

Starting on another upscaling attempt to ANH:R (SD), this time with another program. I hope this one does justice. If so, we could use some scenes as inspiration.
Also, if needed, I believe that this should involve Discord for better communication.

I finally was able to download 4K77. I’m color correcting it, getting rid of all of the greenish tint in the vast majority of the shots in the movie. After I finish that, I plan on incorporating some of the special edition changes (the ones that are included in Hal9000’s custom special edition of ANH (These are the good changes, so don’t worry. Han shoots first in the edit. 😊))
Yay! The main thing I would like is the Death Star to be battleship-grey, like Adywan colored it in the original.
Just for now, I would like to ask not to implement the Special Edition changes yet…
This is a beta after all.
For the characters, I would follow a mixture of colors between Adywan’s Revisited HD, and the Disney+ Star Wars…
Also, the quality maybe bumped up from 720p, to 1080p, HD

Just make your own edit already. No one starts out with a perfect knowledge of video editing, but there are resources online that can help you. That way, you can make an edit precisely to your own personal tastes.
Also, I wouldn’t have the such time, and dedication. I’m young, lol.

I wonder if Ady, will restore most of the original 1977 audio. Like from 4K77. Some sounds I kind of miss. The music score on it was perfect. But, I think it would be best to keep the SFX intact from the Special Edition / Revisited: SD.

I wanted to start a thread on a side-project which I called, the (Legacy Edition) of Adywan’s “STAR WARS: Revisited.”
Of course, my idea never materialized. Either, not enough people were interested, seen it, or they just ignored it.
So, I started this thread so people could think about my ideas.
Note: This will never become a reality. Adywan said himself, that ANH:R (HD) is his last fan-edit.
Even if I want this to become a reality, I would need to talk to Adywan, himself. Also, I’m
not a fan-editor like him, Harmy, or TN1.
• This fan-edit would have been in 720p, like as would the rest of the “Revisited Trilogy.”
(This would replace ANH:R, (SD) that was created in 480p, from the 2004 DVD)
• Also, there would be the utilization of the Original SFX Scenes during the Battle of Yavin.
Like from 4K77… Including the scenery-shot of the Rebel Trooper overlooking the departing X-Wings & Y-Wings.
• Though the SFX Scenes would be from the Original 1977 Version, the Battle of Yavin as-well as the rest of the film,
the SFX Scenes would be recreated using 3D-Models. Like used in the making of ESB:R.
• All the planets and such, including Tatooine, Alderaan, the Death Star, and Yavin Prime w/ Yavin IV. Would be
recreated with the idea of them looking more like what was scene with Hoth, Dagobah, and Bespin in ESB:R.
• The same color-correcting would be used, that would have be similar to what was scene in ANH:R, (SD), with some fixes
from Rouge One. (Not, all aspects)
• Smooth jump-cuts so, it would be more life-like.
• The Audio Track would be a slight fusion in-between, 4K77’s “2.0 DTS-HD-MA (1977 35mm stero mix 2018),” 4K77’s “5.1
DTS-HD-MA (1977 70mm six track mix 2018),” and the Audio Track from ANH:R, (SD).
• Several continuity fixes. For two versions. (1st, stand-alone film) and, (2nd, as being together, with the rest of
the Skywalker Saga)
You can always, oh, I dunno, create your own version exactly the way you want it to be, and make your own thread about it to discuss it there.
I promise you people will be more willing to talk to you about your ideas there than they are in Adywan’s thread about Adywan’s edit.
That’s not what I would do. I’m not a professional at this. Plus, that would take me years…
