• Adding on to re-watching ESB:R, I’ve also noticed that the video format/dimensions were 2.35:1.
CinemaScope Format, a real win for me (I’ve grown to like that format). Will that remain in the
    upscale of ESB:R, ANH:RHD, and ROTJ:R?

The aspect ratio has now been changed to 4:3 to suit George’s original intended vision

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo…

I don’t believe that for a single second.

I do have another question. Concerning that Adywan doesn’t intend to re-use footage from ESB and ROTJ, will those sequences be recreated from scratch? (New CGI-Recreation)?

(Edit: I just re-watched ESB:R and, I have three more questions.)

  • I’ve noticed on the changes sheet that, the TIE Fighters were going to be color-changed to blue.
But, I’ve seen a photo gallery of changes from May 2009, saying that the TIE Fighters were going
to remain gray to add consistency from ANH:R. Are the TIE Fighters really gray or blue, what ever
color they are are they going to remain?

  • Adding on to re-watching ESB:R, I’ve also noticed that the video format/dimensions were 2.35:1.

  • Since the release of either the 2020 Disney+ Editions or, the 2020 4K/UHD Blu-Ray Disc Set, what are
your thoughts about it, particularly the color-corrections? Is there a chance for them to be
implemented, or a hybrid between yours and Disney’s?

My post may sound stupid but, I’m getting conflicted with which Star Wars: ANH Version I would watch virtually all the time. Either if it’s 4K77, Harmy, HAL9000, Ady’s. I think this is just getting me more hyped for ANH:R ‘HD.’ However, don’t stress yourself over Ady.

Adywan put out a trailer for Star Wars: Revisited HD. The new version is going to have enough updates that the 2008 (?) version will get you stoked. Plus, everytime you step off a curb you risk getting his by a car. I’d watch it just in case.

Where is this HD Trailer? Could you could point me if the right direction?

The decision of whether to wait for the HD, or watch the SD until the release comes, is up to you. If you want, you can check out the 2008 DISC-9 SD Version right now. You can find it at the Star Wars Revisited WordPress Site. Make sure you follow their rules if you decide to view it.

How is 2021 for you all?

Good, good.

I’ve a feeling it won’t be a good start to the year for certain people in here with a history of derailing this thread… 👍

You? Actually, you may wish to continue a conversation on how 2021 has been for everyone so far in the ‘Culture and Current Events’ section of the site - instead of doing so in here.

Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll remember to post anything not concerning this topic where it belongs. I apologize.

I’m not sure what else to say about this 1080p announcement other than this:

That’s not HD.

We’re talking about Adywan’s recent 1080p announcement, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerfherder!

Who’s scruffy-looking?

Isn’t the video in 480p to start? Why would you need to upscale it to that?

How does it look? Are you willing to share your upscale? I would be curious to see it in 1080p or at least 720p.

Also, there was someone who made this. Apparently they upscaled it to 4K and it looks absolutely incredible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6mA1U3lUVc

That video was part of ANH:R (HD), not (SD).

Besides, I’ve deleted mine a while back, I cannot share it. One thing that I would give a heads up is, if you upscale it directly from 480p to 1080p/4K, there will be huge pixels on the video.

You need to upscale it gradually to prevent this. Anyone up to the task, I wish you good luck.

I’ve done it before, turns out it’s a very tedious job. First, you have to upscale it to 480p, then you convert the video to 720p, upscale that to 720p, then convert the video to 1080p, upscale it to 1080p, then so on.

I’ve done it before, it’s a long staking process, I think I would be fine with doing it because, my computer can handle that force. I think. Last time, it took 28hrs, and I thought it was a waste because, there were certain artifacts that I wasn’t particularly fond w/ seeing.

I would like to ask of something regarding the 20th Century Fox Intro.

Besides from everything looking absolutely beautiful, there’s a small issue w/ the second to right searchlight.
The head of it is too small.

From an actual screenshot of a TCF, this is what the searchlight is suppose to look like.

Was this an error? What do you think? If you have trouble viewing the file, tell me and I’ll try my best to fix that issue.

Idea: "TITANIC," (1953) COLORIZED
Time

After watching this classic film recently, I’ve seen a colorized attempt for this film. But, the problem is that, it wasn’t executed as some may wanted it to be. So, I decided to start this forum here. This colorizing attempt, I will hope to be in the styling of the colorized version of “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

What about the audio track? When I would re-watched ANH:R (SD), I’ve discovered that, the audio isn’t really as normal, like from the Blu-Ray Release… Like, the pitch is set a little low from normal.

The question is though, will Ady plan to use a slight fusion in-between, 4K77’s “2.0 DTS-HD-MA (1977 35mm stero mix 2018)" / “2.0 Dolby Digital (1977 35mm stero mix Dolby A)", and some aspects from the Blu-Ray Release? Like the sound effects, (i.e, Turbolasers, or James Earl Jones’s voice-over for Darth Vader)?

What about the lightspeed jump? In ROTJ, when ever a ship jumps to lightspeed, the shot stays neutral and up-right, no twirl. While in ANH, and ESB, there is a spiral when jumping to lightspeed. Honestly, that shot of the Falcon jumping to lightspeed stable and not spiraling is one of my most liked changes in ANH:R (SD).
