STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

For anyone interested, here's the link to the "Adywan Archive" at my site:
http://www.erikstormtrooper.com/adywan-anh/adywan-anh.htm

If you have an interest in any of the files, please save them to your own hard drive (instead of repeatedly viewing them on my site) to reduce my bandwidth consumption.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Hey Adywan, I've got a suggestion about the cave scene on Dagobah.

(I'd comment on your clip, but I can't download it at the moment - firewall)

As Luke goes deeper into the cave, we can see that there is a stone arch there, like this is an old abandoned temple or something. There's probably some EU explanation for this, but for just a movie purist, it's a little confusing. Would you consider doing something about the arch?

Maybe remove it so that it looks like a natural cave?

Or maybe use the arch element to create a wider shot that shows us a hall with lots of arches? (kind of like the wider angle you gave us when Luke and Leia swing across the chasm)

The second option wouldn't really solve the confusion issue, but it would at least make it look like this is an "intentional mystery" and not some random set piece that got reused because they were cheap.

Just a little reminder about something I posted a few days ago. PM me for the link if interested.

I've posted a little something to my website. It's called the "Adywan Archive".

This is a collection of trailers and clips that Adywan has released for his awesome ANH Revisited project. Right now I have 27 files, but maybe I'll get more from others in the near future.

Maybe someone can put together a supplemental DVD-ROM that can house all this stuff.

It's about 1 GB in size, so I'm hesitant to post a direct link here, since all the traffic might gobble up my bandwidth. So I'll be passing out the link via PM, for a few people a day.

Oh yeah. Thanks for reminding me. ;)

That ronto thing has always confounded me. George usually only does that sort of thing to hide a jump cut. But I'm not aware of anything being cut, so WHAT WAS THE POINT?

Was the original film irreperably damaged for a second?

Did George hate the white droid?

Was Marcia Lucas a background extra?

This is one of my great unanswered Star Wars questions.

Perhaps you could watch GUNGA DIN actually?

This seems like a very poor "fan-edit" as it is and seems more personal compared to an actual one. Not interested in the slightest.

One of these statements does not match the others. Some might refer to this as "hypocrisy".

Anyway, InfoDroid, I'm looking forward to seeing this! Is there a relevance to the idol from the "Sacred Planet" documentary? Is it supposed to be something near the palace?

Adywan, I've sent you a PM with the link, so you can check it out too.

Vlan has an option like "open folder" that I think treats a whole folder as a virtual DVD. So I was looking directly at the files. I haven't made an ISO yet.

Was the torrent you downloaded the iso file or were the files already unpacked into their folders ? Also someone mentioned that in one torrent the NTSC fix is in the DVD-Rom folder. Is that the case with yours Erikstormtrooper

As Chainsawash described, the torrent I downloaded was unpacked. I saw the NTSC fix in the DVD-ROM folder, but I didn't get a chance to run it before I left for work this morning.

This is another reason why i hate torrents. There were so many times when i use to use torrents that someone unpacked the original ISO to post and used bloody winrar to unpack it which screws the DVD up. I'll see if i can come up with a fix for people having problem with the torrent as soon as possible

Thanks! I don't know if it's possible to say this without sounding stupid, but Adywan, you're a class act.

I noticed a small issue with the DVD-9 that I got from the torrent. But I may be jumping the gun a bit, since I haven't applied the fix yet (although I thought the fix only affected where the layer break should go).

When I open the files from my hard drive with the VideoLan Player, there seems to be a problem when I access the menu for deleted and extended scenes. The menu plays for about 2 seconds, and I see the stormtroopers start to go up the Falcon's ramp, but then the menu dies and the screen goes blank.

Anyone else experience this?

I favor a post-credits shot of the DSII, but only if it's done in a very minimalist manner.

What I have in mind is:
1. The credits and music end.
2. In silence, the starfield slowly pans to the right.
3. As the camera continues to pan to the right, we reveal first the Executor, the rest of the imperial fleet, the edge of Endor, and finally the DSII above Endor.
4. Fade to black.

I think Zombie is right about the Blu-Ray release of Star Wars. The first release will be mostly bare-bones, with maybe a few interesting extras. Later Blu-Ray releases will have added extras, with a small possibility of the OOT.

However, if there is a DVD ONLY box set planned in the very near future, I don't see how it will sell without the OOT or some really, really interesting deleted scenes. The DVD market has been saturated at this point, so any DVD releases will have to appeal to hardcore fans.

From the sound of things, it's going to be one massive six-film set and people aren't going to want to pay 200 dollars for it.

This has me wondering if the Box set will include the OOT after all. If it does, we'll have to buy the whole thing just to get the theatrical version. That would be like a triple-dip for the OT fans. This will also save face for George, and he can claim that people are still gobbling up the SE. To get the Saga fans to buy it again, all he has to do is include in the Box set the updated version of TPM with the digitial Yoda (which has already been done). CHA CHING!

Fair enough. I apologize. I was a bit harsh.
