So could you guys summerize the debate and tell me why they came to the conclusion not to make them green?

There you go. It's his edit, and he didn't want them green. That's really what it came down to.

I'm sorry I'm too lazy to read through the thread, but what's wrong with updating the less informed users?

Nothing's wrong with it. We're not really frusterated with you, just the question itself. Some of these ideas led to heated arguements and many pages worth of debate before Adywan finally put the issue to rest through shear fiat.

Having the issue rekindled gets people upset. But we really should just calmly tell the user that the issue has already been addressed by Adywan.

@Angel: Yes they really should read through the whole thread before posting. But realistically, that is simply not going to happen. I resign myself to answering repeditive questions, although I don't like to.

I think asking someone to read nearly 400 pages worth of text and pictures is unreasonable.

In my opinion it should be the poster's responsibility to read the first post and at least 3 of the pages preceding the current one before posting. Then, perhaps to our chagrin, it is our responsibility as the community to fill in the newer people as they ask questions.

Hey Ady.  Wanted to let you know, we just did an interview with Kyle Newman, who directed Fanboys.  He told us that he has seen your ANH:R DVD, and he and Dave Filoni watched it, along with a some people at Lucasfilm.  And they are following your ESB:R.  Just something I thought you would like to know.

Can't wait for the trailer!!

Chris

Here is that Kyle Newman interview. It's from Imperial Holonet Radio.

That's soo cool. It is called "Imperial Holonet Radio", right?

Here's the site. I don't think it is up at the time of this posting.

Just going to throw this out there: Bespin is a gas giant. The various types of gases Bespin has and the atmosphereic effects they have on the colony go completely unexplained to us. Does it rain on cloud city? Maybe not.

I know I am jumping the gun here, but for next weeks picture can we get a duel pic?

Please no!

Keep the visual spoilers to the minimum! :P

I agree with Angel. Lets try to make due focusing on the shots already released and not encourage more spoilage. One shot a week is fine, I think we should try to occupy ourselves with those and any new issues that are raised until the trailer.

Now I see that teharri was just asking if next weeks shot could be of the duel. In that case, I'm impartial. It's totally up to Adywan.

Oh well.

I'm downloading at  ~4.1 kBs/sec now at least. It says I'll be done in 3 days. But as the saying goes "a watched pot never boils."

Thanks all the same. If anyone else can help, could you PM me? I don't mean to clutter the forum with my torrent troubles. =)

*nervous laughter*

Just so we're on the same page, the one I'm using currently has these files in it:

A 7.78 GB file called 'adywan' and a .128 kB rar file that says "Video_TS_Files_fixed.rar"

(and something that tells me where I downloaded the torrent from)

Does that match up with what you're posting?

Hey guys, could one or a few of you be bothered to seed the NTSC DVD9 for a bit? I've got the Xvid, but the DVD9 is the final one, and I'd love to see it in its finished form. I'm staring at no seeders at 79%. Everyone knows how frustrating that is, right? Thanks guys.   =)

......Anyway. Guys, RotJ:R is ages away. Chill out and focus on one thing at a time.

(Who knows! Maybe we'll get lucky. Perhaps while Adywan is working on unbuttoning Lando's shirt he'll remember how sexy a character he is and decide to keep him alive!)

Improvising the sunrise-from-space effects when you see the Falcon leaving Bespin being chased by TIEs

I think the sunrise should look different as well. The way sunrises and sunsets look are dependent on planetary atomospheres. Being a gas giant, Bespin's sunrise should look spectacular. The way it looks now is akin to what a sunrise would look like from the moon or some other airless world.
