get the book tales of the bounty hunters
that will tell you all you need to know

Oh, yeah, my younger brother commented that I should read that novel if I wanted to know what happened as well. But I think I know what happened.

This:

Ady, can you have the other Bouny Hunters' bodies floating among the space junk as the Falcon detaches? Maybe C3P0 and IG-88 could have a shock stick battle on the outer hull of the Falcon like R2 and the buzz droids in Episode 3!

i have a hard time believing that han flew sublight for a month or more without looking in his rearview mirror
maybe there will be an eu story to cover what happened to them during that time

Boba was supposed to have tracked the Falcon's trajectory, then extrapolated where their destination was. He then informed the Empire when he was certain, and jumped to Bespin himself. Vader then set the trap in Cloud City. This is not from EU, this is what I understood to be movie cannon.

This doesn't answer the question how long the Falcon and her passengers took to get to there. I know enough physics to give you a realistic answer, yet I also know enough about Star Wars to know that it would be ignored.

Once again, boys...not everything in the movie needs to be explained.  If you don't know, then you can use your *waves hands and makes a rainbow" imagination :D

Haha, I'm not really worried about continuity issues or the logistics concerning where the bounty hunters went, I was merely wondering why Boba was the only one to follow Falcon.

I mean, where'd the other ones go? We never see them again! I miss them.  :(

Bossk getting facial articulation? I forgot about this one.

That would be a fantastic addition.

Maybe his toes too.

^I am in agreement. Bossk should look like a menacing, pissed off bounty hunter... He shouldn't look like an actor in a rubbery Halloween costume.

Just out of interest, does anyone happen to know where the other bounty hunters were supposed to have gone after the Falcon ninja-ed itself to the back of the SD bridge? It seems as if only Boba left.   =/

This is a genuine question to the forum at large: Does a lightsaber have a pointy tip or a rounded tip?

I don't mind this scene at all. Leia sounds exhausted, which I'm betting she would be at this juncture. Her lover was just frozen into an ice cube and Luke lost a hand. Nice gif Davnes!

Get well soon Ady!

Yay! I always was bothered by Vader's neckless-ness in that shot, but before I started posting here, I read over the thread and saw that Adywan had determined he would not be able to fix it.

I am happy to see that he has since found a way! Well done! :D

I've started doing a test render of the landscape with the photographic sky, but on my crappy old machine it'll take overnight no doubt, I'm looking into buying a new PC within the next few weeks if not sooner !!

The work on your site looks mightily impressive, Serji. It's great to see someone with CG skills on the forum!

I'm going to vote 'no' on the aurora borealis idea.

Auroras only occur in polar regions where a planet's magnetosphere interferes with solar wind. I think we would be taking too many liberties with the story if we inserted ideas on the location of Echo Base.

Plus, it's an unnecessary embellishment in my opinion.   :)

Sorry, I don't think that is a good idea.

Remember that after Luke gets away from being frozen in carbonite, the battle moves around the dark places near the base of Cloud City. This ultimately culminates in Luke's arm getting cut off and him falling to the weather antennae on the underbelly of the structure- Not the underbelly of the Executer.

And guys, I don't think Janskeet is trying to troll. I think he is a bit immature is all.

I agree, they wouldn't be trying to destroy the rock, just scare them out.

All the same, I think there should be something (anything) done to the asteroid bombs. They look very... bad... the way they are now. Just a more slightly more visible bomb and stronger white flash even.

Just my opinion of course!

Glad to see things worked themselves out. Thanks a lot Sketchrob!

Though I am curious as to what sequence(s) the falcon model is actually needed for. I assume the shots in question are fairly vital to the edit, as Adywan is going through considerable trouble to aquire the material he needs for them. Ady is re-shooting the asteroid canyon scene...and what else?

The consensus is....

This is a beautiful shot.

All that could be done to make it better would be to add couple of bright orange Tibanna Gas Platforms in the foreground to help clutter the shot, a reference to the EU character Dash Rendar and maybe a space slug diving in and out of the clouds in the distance to offer a sense of foreboding.

:P

I posted this yesterday, but it was lost in the flurry of posts. Peter Meyhew turned 65 yesterday. (May the 19th)

Regarding the trailer: Wonderful!! Really spectacular. I love the Cloud City reveal.

2 Things I noticed and wanted to point out:

- At 1:08 the Ties should be firing! Please put at least a few laser shots back in, it added more tension to the scene! I know it draws our eye from the amazing revamped asteroid field, but the shot needs something, I think. Otherwise the Ties just get in a line behind the Falcon and run into wayward asteroids.

- At 1:44 the taun-taun's motion doesn't look as fluid as the other shot in the trailer (which just looked superb). I love the footprints, though!

I like this trailer even better than your Wampa preview! Haha.

Instead of Jar Jar's birthday, let's celebrate Peter Mayhew's birthday.

Happy Birthday Chewie!

Amazing trailer Ady. I have a few comments about it, but I'll post them tomarrow. G'night!

You guys are so intolerant. I would never talk like this to a rookie.

Do a search. Just do a search. Seriously.

This is located in the top right of the screen.

BTW: We actually are being quite tolerant. It is a general rule on all forums to search before starting a new topic or asking a question. Many forums would simply ban a "rookie" for being as belligerent and unapologetic as you are being.
