Not trying that hard
Hey congrats!
I guess that makes two of us!
Urge to use Nute Gunray meme, rising. . . .
I hope it’s not a morass of CG jump scares like It was.
Nerf ball. That
I like it!
Genesis was better with Phil Collins than with Peter Gabriel*, but Gabriel’s solo material is better than Collins’.
*Except on We Can’t Dance. That album is the band’s weakest after Calling All Stations.
I Love a Man in Uniform is a movie I’d certainly like to see on BD. At present, it’s only available on a crappy pan-&-scan DVD with a scene cut out.
I’d also like to see The Dark Angel get a BD release (and in North America, too).
I blame my inner Marcionist.
Anyway, I haven’t technically weeded it yet. I’m gonna watch it first, then pass it on to someone who’ll likely appreciate it more than I.
WEEDED
(Batman Forever & Batman & Robin only; I’ll dispense with the other disc if/when I get my hands on Batman '89 on BD.)

Let’s toss Trump in. Maybe Moloch will take him back.
Venom (2018) - There was a moment in this movie about halfway through when I thought it might actually turn into something not half bad. Venom has invaded Tom Hardy and has made his presence and intentions fully known. What a cool and new idea, a superhero who was in direct conflict with his eccentrically sentient powers. But the relationship between Brock and Venom is given mere lip service at best. Motivations in this film are practically nonexistent across the board, so I guess it shouldn’t have been a surprise to me that this dynamic was squandered and given a completely unearned resolution. Thankfully, Hardy’s frankly bizarre performance provides enough enjoyment to keep this whole affair from being a complete disaster. C
And how was the surgery, Mr. Lincoln?
I’ve adopted a new holographic disguise.
Triscuits.
ripped out of context. 😃

If that’s confirmed, then it sounds like a great time to try again.
Well, they haven’t explicitly said as such, but whenever the show gets a whole new creative team, they like to start fresh. It happened when Russell T. Davies left with Tennant, and it’s happening again with Moffat leaving with Capaldi. The show is really pushing the idea of being completely refreshed, even getting rid of Murray Gold, who wrote the music for the show since its revival. It’s safe to say this is an entirely different interpretation of the show. Right now is the perfect time to try again.
Every time I’d just about given up on the show, a great episode would appear and convince me to give it another chance. I can’t think of another show with which I’ve had such a love/hate relationship. I so desperately want to like it.
Oh, definitely. For every five average episodes, there are two damn near incompetent ones, and one that’s absolutely fantastic. And that episode, along with the surprisingly solid concept for the show, is enough to keep you going. The actors who’ve played the Doctor have been so consistently good, that there have been many times where I’d watch an episode just to see more of that performance, regardless of how bad the writing gets. And by the end of Capaldi’s run, it got really bad…
And how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?
The live sex show was sublime.
On the other hand, I worship strawberry rhubarb pie. I eat it whenever I get the opportunity.
I dislike pecan pie.
This is among the saddest things I’ve ever heard.
And don’t just go running off to the “bakery” at your Walmart. Make sure your first pie is real.
I wouldn’t worry about that as I have zero interest in trying it.
Eccleston was my favorite and I think my disappointment at not getting a second series from him tainted my mood for everything that came after.
This for me as well. I don’t think I watched five episodes of Tennant’s first series before I lost interest.
I’ve never had any kind of pie.
How is that even possible. Are you sure you’re an American citizen?
Or an Earth citizen, for that matter.
I’ve never had any kind of pie.
