On the plus side, I did like the idea of combining Spidey’s & Ock’s origins, as well as the extra emphasis on Spidey’s rising celebrity.

Oh, yes. I quite like The Iron Giant. American Beauty, too.

I haven’t yet seen The Green Mile, so verdict’s still out on that one.

The greatest year for movies is the one wherein you become a fan of the artform.

For me, that’d be 2005/2006.

I’ve always enjoyed TMP. The effects, the themes, Spock’s evolution — I can’t find much there to hate.

Specifically, they are using it as justification for rescinding emission standards! This was also reported by NPR a couple of weeks ago. Appalling.

Though I loathe saying it, things like this make me think nothing short of an immediate, significant drop in the human population’s going to be enough to save the planet from global warming, and only a global plague’s going to accomplish that.
